2022 Game #9 | #2 Ohio State @ Northwestern | November 5th, 2022 @ 12:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What an absolute embarrassment of a game

Between the awful telecast and awful play, this is one of the least enjoyable OSU games I've ever seen. But I guess it's preparation for getting sonned by Michigan again.

Day might be on serious hot seat if they get sonned.

OSU doesnt put up with that anymore.

Weather is going to be a huge factor in The Game

I guess they're practicing for Michigan because they'll have to respect the pass in that game. Of course they're getting run all over by Northwestern, so I don't think it matters what they do against Michigan.

3rd and 2 in awful weather and you can't just line up and run it for a first down against a 1-7 team.

Ryan Day will be on the hot seat if they lose to Michigan again.

Guys arent breaking any tackles, either. Literally going down when touched with a pinky finger.

I really cant explain it.

Miyan Williams is running in slow motion. If he can't play, put in someone else.

Michigan is just better than OSU this year... so that will come to pass unless they give the game away with turnovers. But their style of okay makes that very unlikely.

We're at the point in the game again where I just ay throw to Marvin Harrison every play. Quick slant, out routes, just throw him the ball.

I don't get that call for NW. THey have the wind now.

I understand the goal was to just keep it close till the end but...it's the end. You're down 7. You need to go score now, not just settle for a 3 and out punt.

Put McCord in the game and have the QB run a few times. Switch things up a bit.

Obviously concerned in a bad weather game NW can just line up and run the ball every play more effectively than we can.

I'd say Ohio State is gonna have to really work on the read option and getting Stroud to practice keeping it and running, specifically the game against Michigan is bad weather.

Yeah, we're seeing it unfold in realtime right now. In bad weather, Stroud has to be willing to run the ball for the run game to be even somewhat effective.

If it's 40 MPH wind gusts against Michigan we're probably in trouble.

Whole offense is based on downfield passing game.

It's funny. That'll help you win a national title against the SEC speed and in the warm weather stadiums you play in, but can be an issue in bad weather Big Ten.

Its why playing all these bowl games in the South has always felt a little unfair.

But I honestly can't figure out the offensive game plan from week to week.

Last week we threw 10 bubble screens when Penn State was just handing us the middle of the field every down.

This week, in really bad weather we threw...........zero bubble screens?
