Time for hunter gaddis to take his repertoire, his big burly self and project his pitching talent onto the mound this evening.. giving the CleFO (who doesn't have a Guardians game to be at) to watch him and his game.... He needs to start by keeping that FB velo up during what will undoubtedly be a relatively short outing along with some nasty late breaking sliders. He has the kind of stuff that should scream ready to help the ML Bullpen right now.. but is going to patiently work toward paving his way to C-Bus, sooner rather than later..

Nobody plays tonight. If he’s on the mound this evening, he’ll be lonely….

So, you get your wish anyways ... Gaddis pitching and FO having the night off again. Both, Gaddis and Curry May see bullpen next year...

AAA Starters next year - Espino, Williams maybe, Burns, Allen Jr ... plus all the other guys like Morgan, Morris, Batten, ... where to put them all

Hunter Gaddis is in the same situation as some of our other future ML starting rotation wannabes are.. he's shown enough to be considered for the spot.. but, it's not just getting there that matters..it's being able to STAY there that separates these guys.. Gaddis has the tools to separate.. We're going to get to see if he can separate.. if he can throw his FB on the black and past a hitter when the hitter knows it's coming..

Part of the maturity process.. Fwiw.. the ceiling for Gaddis may be undefined.. but the floor could be important as a multi-inning RP.. Hopefully, tonight starts to reveal that path...

Actually I'd bet Battenfield is next in line after Espino and Williams if he doesn't get rostered and pitch MLB games this season which is a distinct possibility IMO. Him not being on the 40 man while Pilkington and Myers are is the only things working against Peyton's MLB debut. Basically a numbers game. Bimbo would have a better description of how the organization feels about Battenfield, but I can't help but think that they hold him in high regard.

OGonz has an OK shot at the cycle tonight. 2 for 2 with a double and a triple..

Is it unreasonable to think that they are considering giving him a look soon? I mean in all honesty is he likely to be any worse than Bradley, Chang or Mercado?

I have a curse & a club now...

You have had a curse for awhile now...I guess we didn't send ya the memo... woops!

Though I don't think ya got a club... unless ya consider a bat one lol

Not unreasonable, but OGonz will and should have to force the issue... If he is OPSing north of .900 through May, I think it's a done deal. Someone will give him a chance to play ML baseball.

Went 3-4 - a homer shy of the cycle. He does have 3 on the year though.

Absolutely. He also is defensively challenged which is ok, we can work with that. It really comes down to being consistent with his production at a high rate. Any improvement in BB or Ks would be very warmly received. Also depends on current 40 man occupants and how well they play, as one will need to go for him in some way. Like his chances to crack the roster, just needs to keep mashing.

Right now he is on pace for around 45-2B/3B and 45-HR in 150ish games..
