2022 Minor League Week 05 Games Thread (5/3-5/8/22)

After another poor start to the week, CLE affiliates rebounded to go a combined 15-9 with a run diff of +10 during week 4.
Now the CLE affiliates look to kep the success going while most got back onto the road.
Onto the Week 5 games:

AAA: Columbus (16-8) visits Omaha (11-12, KC affiliate)
AA: Akron (11-10) visits Richmond (13-8, San Fran affiliate)
High A: Lake County (10-11) visits Dayton (16-5, Cinci affiliate)
Low A: Lynchburg (11-10) hosts Fredericksburg (14-7, Washington affiliate)

Clippers down 1-0 after two. Freeman collected his first hit.

But in the third, Columbus loads the bases on a double, error, and walk. OGonz clears the bases with a grand slam.

It will be interesting to see how long they let him pitch tonight. Id like to see his pitch count climb into the 80 range, but unless Akron goes 6 man rotation, Logan T would be in line to start against this same opponent on Sunday. How many looks do you want an opposing team to get on Allen??

Looks like they let him get a lot of work in: 91 pitches, 59 strikes. 5IP 6H 1ER/R 3BB 7K - gave up 2 doubles, a triple to leadoff the game and 3 singles.
