2022 MLB Postseason Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think it's funny about the cheating, because literally every team has or had been stealing signs for years. I was sitting in the crawford boxes earlier this year when the dodgers where in town vs the Stros. He had this sign about the cheating, I looked at him and said 2018 wasn't that long ago and the dodgers were stealing signs... but go ahead hold your sign up so we can all laugh at you. He never lifted it up again.

Baseball has and will always have cheating in it, they just call most of it gamesmanship and we just let it go.

I'm more frustrated that they still use umps to call balls and strikes... and they put the strike zone box up so we can see just how bad the umps are. If they are going to continue to use human umps, to call balls and strikes at least do away with the damn box!

Fuck the cheating Astros. That title should have been taken away. Will be rooting for the NL champ.

For me, if you are going to ding players with steroids then you need to ding them for the trash cans for any form of cheating especially as memos went out to teams warning them not to do it and it continued. And, just as a college student would be dinged if caught in a test cheating scandal why were the players left off? You can say Altuve did it the least and thus wasn't at the heart of it .... is kind of like saying Albert only had the one corked bat and didn't want to use it but it just got sent to him that way somehow thus wasn't really cheating. If Altuve was a leader of Houston and not some rookie who had no locker room pull, it is the Yoda saying "Do or Not, there is no try." I can try all I want, if half-hearted, not going to GM and Coach saying, I want a trade if you are not going to put a stop to this as it is not who I am, then trying is kind of complicity. Taking it to extreme it is like knowing your child is dealing drugs in you house and telling to tell the cops after the fact, I tried to get him to stop, he just wouldn't listen to me thus don't take me house because I tried to stop him.

My favorite thing after a team advances to a round further than we did is looking at all the cool gear for sale, but I also hate it, because I wish that was our gear. :chuckle:

There's a massive difference between "gamesmanship" and using technology.

Everyone knows a guy on second can try and steal the catcher's signals. That's why they hide it, and that's something we don't consider cheating.

Nobody expects you to have an assistant with binoculars zooming in, stealing signs, and relaying that to the players in real-time with sound effects. That's cheating.

I know you're an Astros fan, but cmon man.

I agree it's cheating. O disagreement.

This Yankee game is in the middle of the 4th? Might be dawn before it’s over.

Looks pretty bleak for NY. Last inning coming up

It looked like obstruction when Altuve was rounding second before he got thrown out at third in the top of the ninth. Anyone else see it that way?

If NY goes down 1,2,3.. Judge will be the last batter with them down 1.
