2022 NBA Finals

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yikes...0 points in 19 mins for Mann thus far. Clips losing.

So today we have these series:

Jazz vs Mavs
Wolves vs Grizz
Raptors vs 76ers
Nuggets vs Warriors

Tomorrow we have:

Hawks vs Heat
Nets vs Celtics
Bulls vs Bucks
Pelicans vs Suns

I'm going to try and catch a bit of Jazz/Mavs and Wolves/Grizz. Luka is out of game one, so the Jazz should be able to win today. If the Jazz lose this series, the Mitchell/Gobert era is definitely over; they were very up and down with lots of shade thrown this season, and a first round exit will guarantee the end of that dysfunctional relationship. Wolves/Grizz I want to see because Morant is must-see TV, and it's nice to see the Wolves in the playoffs again for only the second time since the KG era. Time for Towns to step up. I also want to see more of Ant; I seldom see much of the Wolves because of my loyalty to the Thunder and Cavs, but I have a soft spot for my birth state's team.

Thinking about last nights games, and especially New Orleans, it’s amazing how the team with the best top-level talent almost always wins in high stakes situations in the NBA. It’s not about coaching or having a bunch of pretty good players. NO went through SA and LAC, two teams with possibly the best coaches in the league and solid mid level talent. But Brandon Ingram was the best player in those games. There’s no substitute for having that individual guy on offense the other team just can’t stop.

Okoro can only aspire! Of course he plays more minutes than Snell so it’s a greater challenge

Man Dallas' defense is fun to watch. Sometimes lost in Lukamania is how they were the #2 team in points allowed this season, best in the West and second overall after Boston, giving up fewer than 105 ppg. They aggressively fight through picks and don't give offensive ballhandlers ANY breathing room. They also rotate quickly to the shooters. They basically never seem to take a possession off, and almost every shot the opponents take is a struggle for them to get off.

Good as the Mavs' D has been, the offense is unsurprisingly crap without Luka. They were moving the ball well in the first, but missing open looks. Since then, the movement has slowed, and they have just 65 at the end of 3.

Utah Jazz look like they definitely have this now. Credit to Snyder for having Utah relentlessly attack Dallas' weakest defender, Bertans. Also credit to Donovan Mitchell for attacking aggressively in the second half after playing the first looking like he was deep in the feels.

Dinwiddie really struggled from the foul line this game.

The Mavs roster was 100% built around Doncic. It's like taking the motor out of a car.

Remember when we whupped the snot out of the TWolves(without Russell), Towns looked defeated and we all(me too) shit all over that team, roster, and future?

We might have embarrassed them so bad that night that it became the rallying buy in point for them to turn their season around.

LOL yep I remember that. Wolves looking good so far, but it's still early. I wanna see if they can continue this. But I hope ESPN gets their audio back in check because I don't want to hear Stephen A's commentary all afternoon lol

I mean, regardless of the results of the playoff series, the Wolves were 11-15 after that game against us.

They finished the season at 47-35. That's a record that wouldn't have even been in the Play In tourney if they were in the East. And they did it w/ out any big trades/additions. Just got healthy, played better, and turned shit around.

Announcers said that these were the two best offenses in the NBA in the second half of the season and the 1st quarter did little too dispute that. A lot of good athletes on both sides, a lot of aggressive early in the shot clock shots, a lot of pace, and lots of crashing the offensive boards for second shots,
