2022 Season | Series #1 | Guardians @ Royals | April 7-10, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'd rather see Kwan hitting 3rd behind Straw and Rosario followed by JRam and Reyes. Not ideal, but my thought is that with Kwan's ability to put the bat on the ball and get on base he would stand a good chance to drive in Straw and/or Rosario if they're on and score on a JRam or Reyes hit. Having him stuck between Chang and Hedges makes little to no sense IMO.

How about Kwan 2nd in the lineup & Amed dropped to behind Franmil???
This is my hope.. Kwan will be pesky enough at the plate to not strike out.. If he hits while he is at...It's perfect.. Throw in Straw dancing around 1st base/distracting the pitcher.. Could be extremely effective.

It's up to Kwan though.. Sink or swim baby..

If Kwan takes off - Bradley, Chang and or Gimenez follows suit

Straw
Kwan
JRam
Franmil
Rosario
The rest

Could be a legit force..

it would be like Omar with the bat control.. Tito would need to be given a bolo of some mind altering substance because he aint moving Amed from the two hole unless he's coerced or drugged..

old timers..get set in their ways..

lets hope Kwan establishes himself as a top 3 bat in the lineup and forces Tito's hand.. I like his chances, even if the production itself doesn't end up eye popping. Solid.. that's all we need for now.

It would certainly be an improvement even if it isn't "earth shattering".

I'm personally with @CDAV45 's idea of Kwan in the 3 hole, but I'd go more like:
1. Straw
2. Ramirez
3. Kwan
4. Reyes
5. Bradley
6. Rosario

IMO Rosario and Straw are similar hitters, but Straw is a little more OBP geared with extra baserunning and Rosario has a little extra pop which can work with guys on base.

Supposedly #2 and #4 should be your 2 best hitters and I like Ramirez and Reyes there. #5 for the punisher which at least Bradley's power can fit and break up the righties.

Kwan in from of JRam (they'll have to pitch to Kwan) and Straw on 1st. That's gonna give pitchers fits as long Kwan doesn't hit into DPs.

Though I can certainly get behind Kwan in the 3 hole - both alignments work pretty good.

Ideally Gimenez hits enough to climb into the top of order as well.. Dream setup?

Straw/Gimenez
Gimenez/Straw
Kwan
Jram
Reyes
Rosario
Bradley
Chang
Hedges

I’m cool where Kwan is batting no need to put added pressure on the rookie this early…….

We'll split this series, and I'll be just fine with that.
