2022 Season Series #26 | Guardians @ Tigers | July 4-6, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Ok I’ll pour out some whine as well but won’t bring in past performance just current. Do we have an OFer that can perform at the plate beyond Kwan? Give me a change of pace with some AAA blood already.

@Real Deal look I get you and I’m frustrated as well with Biebs but I just don’t see his past performances as trash and I do think this year can be salvaged. I still have hope for him as a decent 1. He might not be on that Cy level but I look at his stuff and still would bet on him over most the others in the rotation.

Just a real fucking frustrating stretch especially with the Tigers recent history of being Cleveland’s bitch
When I made the 2 year comment, moreso just talking in terms of this season and last season. 2020 he was lights out, insane K rate, absolutely incredible spin. It's obvious the substance he used gave him an edge.

Like Klubersociety noted, he's not much of an ace today, more #2ish. Which I agree.

He hasn't been responding in games where Cleveland needs lights out ace like pitching to get them off the snide.

There's always hope for him to return at the level close to where he was at.

Tito reminds me of Stone Cold more and more these days.

And the mighty Cody Clemens (.186 BA) puts the frosting on the cake homering off Clase.
shouldnt he have to pee in a cup now?

clase pitching in this game is kinda like calling for an intentional walk in an 8-2 game

The arrival of Espino, Williams, et al will be absolutely key to this team's championship contender status. The rotation has enough depth and consistency. We have a bunch of guys who can go 4-6 innings and give us league average baseball, and one who generally gives better than that. It's actually a very good recipe for squeaking into playoffs but a bad recipe for winning big games, especially with expanded playoffs.

I see enough craving for power bats who likely won't even add much to the lineup as they can only get about 1/8th of the plate appearances anyway. Power ARMS are the most critical piece of this organization's near future.

Blown out 28-10 and now down 7-2 in the season series. Embarassing. Now 4.5 games behind the Twins. Was this series a turning point in the season or just a large speed bump?

After seven games in seven days against KC and the White Sox we get the Tigers for four more games starting a week from today. At least we'll be at home.

The good news is we're 1-1 against them at home and 1-6 in Detroit. We have seven home games left against the Tigers against three on the road.

This is definitely a speed bump which they hit hard...

The question isn't really the talent and whatnot, they have shown signs of it, but how do they recover from this. How do they get back on their feet and right the ship?

Anyone else wish there was a Guardian baseball game today? :disdain (15):

Definitely bent a rim, might have even broken a shock. The front end is going to need to be aligned and balanced at a minimum.

If they can overcome this, I think it will really setup a strong mental team going forward
