Pilkington been a slight disappointment and it sucks we can’t throw another RHP this weekend against CHW, never understood Mccarty having a 40 man roster……..

They have better but they don't want to start the clock on them, during a non-contending year if they can help it... The next guys up do have more talent, but they don't have much time if any at all above AA. 2020 hurt timelines for some guys...

Plus Morgan and Morris were supposed to be number 6 and number 7. Morgan became a setup man while Morris went to the injured list. Pilkington is number 8 while Myers was supposed to be number 9, and he flopped...McCarty was number 10... so number 8 and 10 are 6 and 7... lol

Essentially McCarty is a left handed Plutko, knows how to pitch and has a great mentality, just not enough talent to be anything more than a AAAA pitcher. They are using him instead of rushing Battenfield and some others. They want them to get full season if possible under their belts before the call up...

Because no one has stepped up to take his spot. Not every member of the 40 man will be a winner.

Actually not true, they just not on the 40……..Trust me there people on the 25 man roster that are not winners base on your post, let along the 40……

If Quantrill and McKenzie each go 7 innings maybe they do a bullpen game Saturday night like last week when Eli started followed by DLS, Shaw, Sandlin, and Stephan. But I think they'll go with Pickles. Five innings, three ER's against them last time out. Not bad for a minor league lefty and that was in Cleveland. The Sox hit a lot better on the road.

By the way, Guardians' pitchers have an ERA of 2.85 against the White Sox this year. Bieber 1.20, McKenzie 2.08, and Plesac at 3.46 have done well. Quantrill has been less successful at 5.84 while Civale has pitched just one inning. Pilkington has a 5.40 ERA in 5 innings.

The bullpen has done very well against them with only Shaw, Gose, and Hentges having problems.

We need Quantrill to pitch at the top of his game tonight while we figure out how to scratch together a couple of runs off Giolito.

It's go time for Franmil. His first half has been an unmitigated disaster and his second half needs to be completely different.

He is available as a pinch hitter... it is a RHP that we haven't had much luck against so that's maybe why Reyes isn't playing again...

Though I want to move on from Reyes personally...

I remain cautiously optimistic on Franmil in the second half, and would not want to move him now (at a low point) to primarily open a spot on the roster/batting order. He still holds too much promise just to move him out. Sure, maybe we'd be wowed by a trade offer, but it is unlikely. Let's let this season play out and see where we are in October.

On mine it wants me to log in, no other options. I first set up an apple account sometime between 2008 and now. I used my work email as a backup address. Now I no longer work there and that email account is canceled. But Apple, in their infinite wisdom, only sends the password reset email to THAT email instead of the personal email account I've always used (like every other provider on the planet does). To compound the problem I only recall the answer to one of my 2 security questions I used whatever year it was when I set up this account.

Since I have some free time on my hands today because I can't watch this fricking game I decided to enter the world of Apple support.

I spent 50 plus minutes chatting with them, they couldn't help. They suggested I call a support phone number so a supervisor could get involved. Now I'm at 47 minutes and counting talking to apple support on the phone.
