Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hedges and Maile give us behind the scenes stuff since they are veterans and leaders on this roster. On the field, they don't give us much outside being very good battery mates...
Yeah and I don't think it's worth whining about the 0.6 WAR they've put up as a team, given that. Hedges has been even better lately with the bat.

The question has to be what roster move you'd actually move to get Naylor up there and unless we run 3 catchers (which itself makes zero sense and takes away needed development opportunities for Naylor) I just don't know what that'd be.

in just under three weeks, the rosters expand two guys... Naylor may be "gifted" a spot as a reward for his good season... or.. one of the two backstops in house suffer an injury...even then.. it might be Lavas over Naylor only because of the service time issue.. Otherwise.. probably not..

No good there.. jose picked off...

@Gson Yeah with expanded rosters I don't have a problem but that's still a while. Have you seen him play defense lately? Any thoughts? I find it likely that he needs as many reps behind the plate as possible.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr with a solid AB... but Kwan up to the task..

And they said Kwan would be an average CF

the simple answer is.. yes, I've seen him catch, recently.. From what I can tell.. he has become much more aware of the pitcher he's working with.. If a catcher isn't on the same page as a pitcher.. the pitchers, especially lefties, don't want to throw to you.. If Naylor's elevated.. that's his first/biggest obstacle: being able to assimilate with the pitching staff.. A few of these guys have worked in game situations with him.. but not a lot.. (btw... Lavas has worked more) His feet are quick and he has soft hands... that is.. the ball doesn't seem like it is bouncing off concrete..

The fundamentals of catching are there.. He could move to his glove side a little better.. Throwing: his pop times and throwing accuracy in the running game are solid ( I've only seen video this.. he didn't throw one time while I was there)... His game calling is a mystery.. I'm not sure what to expect there.. This is a pitcher to catcher thing that either works.. and works well.. or is a constant source of friction..

Should he be the one brought up? Maybe... he wouldn't be an abject failure.. but if he's not catching in a regular rotation.. then it could detract from his game/performance..

If it were me.. he'd go to the ML's after Lavas..

Benson with his second hit of two million.

Gorgeous bunt, leads to a now three run lead.
