2022 Season | Series #4 | White Sox @ Guardians | April 18-21, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Gimenez....1-2...walk...sac fly...SB...R...RBI.

.318/.333/.545/.878

Obviously small sample size, but is this the type of bat Gimenez is capable of once he figures it out in the majors? And isnt he a good defensive SS too?

That slugging percentage is not sustainable, but he should be able to improve his OBP. And yes, he is supposed to be a very good fielder, even though he struggled last year.

I felt like he tried to hard last year to impress a new team rather than just stay within himself...

Anyone else just absolutely hate Tim Anderson?

Total clown. Watching him flail is one my of baseball guilty pleasures.

I didn’t realize Freddie Mercury was alive and pitching for the White Sox.
I thought the exact same thing. Matt said something about Tom Selleck being proud of that mustache and I was like "Tom Selleck my ass, that MFer looks just like Freddy Mercury".

Combined score: Guardians 19, White Sox 5

G's move into first place in the Central and are the only team in the division with a winning record

G's pitchers allowed three earned runs in three games.

Franmil finally went deep and also had a single.

The White Sox have some serious defense issues.

Great job by Kwan and Gimenez fighting off pitches with two strikes until they got something they could drive to left field for sac flies. Kwan's sac fly was set up by an excellent sacrifice by Hedges. Little things.

Good poise by Stephan as he struck out the next hitter on three pitches after the Little League fiasco that handed the White Sox two runs.

Excellent pitching, defense (except for one play), and timely hitting. Plesac is looking better than I've ever seen him; a 1.53 ERA in three starts. Stephan still has not given up an earned run or a walk in seven appearances. Great series.

We've seen four series.

They have shown both the challenges and the possibilities.

So far so good.

But the next ten games may be the biggest test of the season.

Three in Yankee Stadium, then a cross country flight for seven on the West Coast with no travel day...and with a short handed rotation.

We are missing Quantrill for a short period of time, but honestly we aren't short handed... We have Morgan already up and McCarty is making a spot start. No he isn't anything but a AAAA pitcher in my mind, but he knows how to pitch. I think we are fine only losing Quantrill for two starts

Missing a start here or there may be exactly what the doctor ordered to keep our staff healthy. It also provides opportunity to see some of the prospects and it was said that this season would be used to do exactly that. Hopefully Cal isn't that sick and recovers quickly.

From what I heard, no one has been showing symptoms and they all have been vaccinated so its likely they dont even have any symptoms. Hopefully, no one else has it honestly and its gone its course...

I would LOVE to see the the Guardians get DEEP into the CWSox pen.. burn it early and often in game one..
