I just don’t know what people truly expect out of him. I think he had a poor game relative to his chances but was also playing on a bad leg.

In playoff games, a player can’t be an offensive asset without a gameplan. He can’t just not be involved in touching the ball 90% of the time and then be given the ball in pressure spots and be expected to perform great every time.

His offensive involvement is currently one of our guards waving him in to a screen or waving him off. That is literally the extent of it. There are no NBA players who have the ball this little who are doing anything of note on offense in high leverage situations. He basically needs to shoot 70% on his single digit opps and then create 4-5 of his own via OREB. If he doesn’t do both, you get nights like tonight, as we have no scheme or plan to use him beyond a chicken with his head cut off screener. It’s really frustrating.

I’ve been busy bagging on Evan to my bored wife and this post quickly changed my mind. Thanks for this.
