2023-24 Playoff Series #1 | Game #6 | Cavs @ Magic | May 3, 2024

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The game was closer than it should of been, with a bandaid of Morris and TT having matching up against the Orlandos mobile bigs on the road. This team is not built to win on the road with a mostly inconsistent shooting and a coach who doesnt know how to create space for his shooters and defense that relys on guards to matchup against bigger players. Your rotation cant only be Mobley and Allen as your guys who are 6ft8 or taller.
But the next game is at home, so it aint all that doom-n-gloom.

I need injury updates on Mobley, Vert and Don... If JA was a game time decision I am hoping he can give it a go Sunday and comes off the bench...

Yup. I hate the talk of "let's lose so we can get rid of JBB.". These are our freaking guys - our team - and I'm hoping like hell we can pull this out on Sunday. Even if we get blown out by Boston, I'd still like to see us go as far as we can.

Garland is a natural 3rd option. Mobley has to become a bigger focus of the offense and Mitchell knows it. It is gonna take a new coach.

They chose to DNP LeVert for the second half and thus felt Okoro’s defense was essential

But passing up those looks sabotaged the offense.
They have to learn that this isn't the 90s anymore. Good shooting will overcome a good defense.

Mitchell played 42 minutes and Garland played 43. Banchero and F. Wagner both played 42 minutes. Their bench played 62 minutes, ours played 54. Trouble is, their bench outscored us 17-8.

Mobley is definitely not a center. He is a Duncan like player that would do very well in a motion offense as the "4". Iso basketball, nope, not happening

It is absurd. It is the freaking playoffs. Why would you not want your team playing in the playoffs?!? I sent a text earlier today when the Lakers fired Hamm:

"Fans reaction, we need to lose this series asap so JBB can get fired so they can get a better coach." lol this logic...

Also how did that work out for the Bucks and Philly, etc...

Zingis is also hurt, as we have seen in this series guys are getting hurt etc... Wild to me fans rooting for their team to lose a NBA Playoff Series to fire a coach sooner...

Missed Allen this game, and he isnt coming back this series.

I'll try to give @Randolphkeys a hand here.

This forum definitely prides itself on productive conversation around the Cavs and basketball in general. People post stupid opinions all the time (including myself), but generally they offer something to back it up even if it's a dumb opinion.

When you join a site and your first two posts are in separate threads saying "Mitchell is garbage. Can’t wait until he’s not a Cav anymore. Did nothing to lift his teammates or get others involved" after he puts up 50+ on a bum knee and kept them in the game the whole time while his teammates shot like crap, you're not giving a real opinion. It's just a dumb hot take

The short timer had bad timing. Don’t come in with asshole takes when we’ve had to put up with the Wagner brothers for six games. Our asshole tolerance is used up for this season. Glad Keys lowered the boom.

Mitchell‘s performance was Delly worthy. Reminded me of LeBron in 2008 vs the Celtics and PP. A gallant effort in a losing game.

Win Game 7 Sunday and this loss doesn’t matter.
