We desperately need Allen back to have any chance.

With only Mobley, it is very easy for Boston to just get one of our undersized wings on a switch with Horford and just bulldoze them to the hoop.

Additionally, we have no help side defense when Mobley has to guard Brown.

Just all around doesn’t work against Boston without JA.

Compounded by also missing Allen.

He is. This isn't a team full of veterans, it's a team full of guys he developed. And they play with the same soft ass style he coaches with.

There have been plenty of games when he wasn’t scoring that he was at least racking up assists and boards ; tonight 5 points and 2 boards and 0 assists in 29 minutes and looks lost out there, running around like a chicken with his head cut off. He’s less “on” than LeVert. His good games are so infrequent at this point. He shot miserably for Miami for a good chunk of the playoffs last year, too.
The one caveat is that JBB doesn’t seem to have any semblance of an offense which puts many players with a high chance of success

Allen is the only guy this post-season to show up with Mitchell.

I don't know how you don't at least explore trades involving Garland and at least discuss, behind closed doors, moving Mobley if he wants a max extension.

The thing with Mobley is that even if we can sign him to a team-friendly contract, will the Mobley-Allen pairing ever work on offense for we to keep this starting front court? I wouldn't bet on it. And I doubt he'd ever agree to go to the bench.
