Thanks for the validation.I love this place and I probably also contribute in some of the ways he's talking about at time( it think) but to be fair to him what he's describing is essentially the tone of pretty much every thread in all Cavs related parts of this forum. Agree fully the the game threads have always, will always, and probably should always be that loose kind of wild wild west feel.
On one hand, welcome to being in an online fandom and to me it's still the absolute best Cavs community in existence for multiple decades now, but on the other, he's not wrong and he's not some newcomer adjusting to the overall vibe of the place
I just watched the game and didn't post much, mostly read the thread. If I didn't know the score and had to guess based on comments I would guess we were getting blown out when in reality it was a tight game. Nothing but comments badmouthing our players running about 10 to 1, if there were even that many positive or neutral comments. Meanwhile I'm wondering what people are watching while I'm rooting for and enjoying the really good plays and positive things I was seeing. Sure it's far from perfect but no NBA opponent is an easy out and I just see our guys trying to figure out a way to win.
Then after we actually win the game there's maybe a page and a half of positive comments.
Reading constant bashing of the guys I'm rooting for is not my idea of fun or entertainment. I don't understand how some people get enjoyment out of how they think about the players and coach, constantly dwelling on completely negative bullshit. Being that way would drive me nuts, and reading it all the time bugs me. I stayed completely out of game threads for probably a few years. I think I'm going to go back to that, or at least try.
