2023-24 Season | Game #4 | Knicks @ Cavs | Oct. 31, 2023 | 7:30 TNT

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Even if we were at full strength, a win or loss in either of these next two Knicks game means very little.

Two wins would of course have people overreacting saying we’ve gotten over the hump, grew up, evolved etc. which it’s simply a way too early to tell.

Two losses would have people saying we’re weak, the coach sucks, we haven’t adjusted etc And it’s way too early to tell on that end too.

People have ZERO patience. Zero respect for the time it takes for new players to integrate with the old players and slowly learn tendencies. Zero patience or respect for the growth that happens WITHIN an 82 game season.

They want immediate “proof” that either confirms their hope that we’re better equipped for the playoffs in 6 months or that confirms their belief that the roster isn’t right or the coach sucks and isn’t changing/adapting/growing.

The first 20-30 games of the season are probably the worst time to read the game threads and the boards as people grossly over react in for too positive or far too negative ways to wins and losses and what they see on the court.

It’s pretty depressing and hopefully I can just shut up, not respond, and watch the season unfold

I have seen enough out of the Strus/Mobley duo to be comfortable taking our time elsewhere. It still sucks playing the waiting game, but if we can get other guys synced up and integrate our big guns as they are ready, then we should be hitting all cylinders at the right time.

And that right there is @Lee in a nutshell, a spelling error in a toilet humor joke.

:chuckle:

Reactions: Lee
I’ll inevitably get pissed off later even though I expect to lose.

But really don’t see this being close.

In fact I expect to see Dylan Winder playing (he’s on the Knicks) and he will bury a couple 3s in garbage time.
The reactions in here will be priceless. Can’t wait.

I'm encouraged by our work against the Pacers, despite our 4th quarter defensive failure. Let's make it Cavs 110-105 over the Knicks.

Well. We started like 10-1 last season and got rocked in the playoffs. Reverse the curse?
If Mobley can be that 20-10 guy more consistently, then Don and Evan surrounded by spacers should be enough to win against the majority of the NBA. Let's hope those two realize this too. If not for the end of that OKC game, and the Brooklyn game, I think those two are good indications. OKC is no joke either.
