I disagree. I think LB is the weakest position group on the team right now. Taki won't be ready to start the season. Phillips can't stay on the field. Walker is coming off a season ending injury. JOK is injury prone and probably playing out of position.

Bobby Wagner or any veteran that can stay on the field would be a huge upgrade.

I also don't think Bobby Wagner will be expensive.
LB will always be the weakest position group on defense. That's the plan.

You also said that you don't think Jessie Bates would even be expensive.

Wagner probably isn't taking less than 6M for one year. That's expensive for a linebacker.

Of course we can structure it so we're barely paying him anything this year...

Honestly, I'd be pumped if we signed Wagner. If we did, I'd expect it to be like a 5-year deal, 1M in salary this year, 5M signing bonus, 1M in guaranteed salary next year. That way it's really just a one-year deal worth 7M, with a 2M cap hit this year and a 5M cap hit next year when we cut him.

I still don't think it will happen.

Also, JOK isn't playing out of position. I have no idea where certain people get this idea.

What is JOK's position?

Corey Davis as a #2 WR? Iono. There's several other WR's I'd prefer but it looks like he's out in NYJ while they build the New York Packers.

I don't think NYJ make the playoffs this year either. Are they better than JAX or DET? Two other young teams that surprised some people last season. JAX and DET should be getting more attention than NYJ but they're in New York so people are fawning over them.

That defense + Aaron Rodgers?

Yeah… they would win their division.

Who did you forget about--Amari Cooper or DPJ?

He's a fine third if you prefer him over someone like DJ Chark.

I don't forget about them. I just don't think Corey Davis is good enough to move ahead of DPJ. If this were Nuk, Cooks, or Sutton than yeah they should be the clear #2. I don't think Corey Davis is even open to being a 3rd WR. That's part of why he left TEN. He wanted a larger role if I remember correctly.

Over BUF or MIA? We'll see. I don't think adding Aaron Rodgers and GB cast away players is enough for NYJ to pass up BUF and MIA.
