no offense taken. The injuries thing happens all the time to many teams. Just is what it is, this year very easily can be our unlucky year.I don't know why you took so much offense to what I said. For me, it's not about signing FA. I love the Bell signing, but most high end FA signings end up being burdens and none of us want that going forward. What I do want is for them to continue to trade for and develop the type of talent WS winning teams have to spend huge amounts of $ on. I want them to continue to allow good young players to prove they belong. I want them to make trades that flood the system with a lot of talent that is either ready or near ready. I don't want to see one dimensional players like Straw or average players like Rosario and Plesac anymore. They are addressing these issues and I'm a fan of what they've done, but right now the White Sox are a better team on paper and there's no denying that we benefitted from injuries to them and the Twins last season. My post wasn't "gloom and doom". It was an honest opinion. It is also my honest opinion that we are just scratching the surface of this team's potential going forward even if I don't think we're all the way there yet.
I agree with you on Rosario and Plesac. I am amazed Plesac is still around although not sure what kind of return he brings. I am all for moving Rosario and I agree on the near major league talent back for him
I think we should see what Straw does this year. If he gets anywhere in the .240 range I am more than good with him. Plus we really are not sure what/who Will Brennen is so I am ok going into mid june and see what develops with Straw. And there are ways to make sure Will gets at bats.
The things that scares me most about the white sox is that LaRussa is no longer manager
