2023 Season | Series #34 | Guardians @ White Sox | July 27-30, 2023

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Neither Gimenez nor Brennan are ideal 2 hole hitters. One has an OBP of .311 this season and one has an OBP of .307 in his short career. I see projections have Gimenez around .326. That's still not good.

Amed's OBP the last 3 seasons: .321, .312, .306

I don't understand the desire to replace Amed with essentially another Amed, when it comes to getting on base.

Now is the time to finally put Jose where he belongs in the 2 hole, then you can have Bell as #3 and Naylor as #4. Guys who have more difficulty getting on base kept down lower in the lineup.

However, it seems a foregone conclusion that Gimenez is going to be placed in the 2 hole, and I guess we gotta get used to it. What's a Cleveland lineup without a 2 hole hitter who the fans who look at stats see is clearly not suitable for the job? Hell, all we need is a shift over to SS and another Gimenez in the league and he can be Gimenez, ASS.. Sadly, no Gimenezes seem to be on the verge of getting called up.
The teams best 3 hitters at getting on base are Jose, Kwan, and Bell. The team doesn't have the hitters to let Jose lead off. Kwan is fine leading off. Bell would be a nice out of the box option, imo, but that would send the board into convulsions. Outside of Josh, the team really doesn't have any great options imo, it's gonna be a tough fill as long as the farm system struggles to graduate power hitters.

Is there a legitimate reason why Curry is only going 3 innings in his starts? I know he's considered a BP guy, but it's not like he's an every day BP guy. He's pitched well enough to get spot starts IMHO.
If you allow him to go longer then he can't pitch for 5 days. If he only goes 3 innings then he can be used again in a couple of days if need be.

I’m not an Arias fan batting right now, but with that said I’m a Guardian fan first, and I hope he kills it, and find that stroke we all thinks he has, I’m not going to hate on him , because my man Freeman didn’t get the nod…..
Considering Arias's recent struggles vs lefties I would not be surprised if Freeman starts at SS vs a lefty (if not paying for someone else).

I'm saying it should be Kwan, Jose, Bell, and Naylor in that order with maybe Gimenez afterward. Jose wouldn't ever be leading off.

Feel like it slicked for Bibee.

Thought SpongeBob coming up meant less Straw!!

That's what we are hoping...

Straw is too good of a CF not to finish every game, but I want to see OGonz get more ABs than Straw on paper...

Well that is 2 straight innings where we had a runner on 2nd with nobody out and he did not score.
