2023 Summer League Champs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I made a joke like that when I was inexplicably in a friends Mormon wedding. It did not go well.

Did all 4 sister wives slap you?

I took a quick glance at the Charge all time roster and there are very
few players who have gone on to the Cavs and earned regular
minutes.

I didn't see any of the #1 draft choices there.

Biggest names in that regard would be Wade and Cedi.

Time for someone to break out and raise the bar.

Again, in California you can marry your first cousin. This is illegal in Kentucky.

When you point a finger at others, there are 3 more pointing back at you
No one was pointing a finger at anyone. The joke I made had nothing to do with Kentucky.

Cavs highlights vs the Nets:

This is optimistic. I don't know that a guy like Diop ever comes over, and if Travers doesn't develop a shot, he's going to wash out in the pros. Merrill is 27 already and is extremely limited defensively. Mobley is unlikely to be an offensive focal point in any NBA unit outside of garbage time and he's currently bellow average in the other aspects of the game he'd have to be at least average in to stick on another NBA roster.

Even guys like Bates and Porter, who I could see becoming second unit guys one day, need to put in work against better competition than what we're seeing right now before I'd feel comfortable with that prediction.

Cavs feeling pretty confident about tonight. Sam Merrill reserved the new strip club on St Clair, “Playground”, this weekend for a Champs party
Is he doing a Mormon version of Rumspringa?

Two way contracts were only implemented fairly recently and the money wasn't a flat rate until the last couple season. The NBA days vs G-league days change in pay most likely put off some from taking a two way vs going internationally. The added 3rd two way will make the G-league a more competitive league. I think we are just seeing the start of the G-league being a competitive developmental league it was suppose to be with the ability to keep and pull in talent that it needed. Truly before the two way contract, the pay in the G-league was crap and it was really only an option for guys who didn't want to go internationally to play.

The Cavs staff would even admit the G-league wasn't worth sending guys down to in the past because of the gap in talent. They would talk about how it was more worth while for players to be up with the Cavs and scrimmaging in practice than going down to play for the Charge.

lol.. I arrived at the neighborhood pool after golfing to meet my wife and daughter.. armed with my iPad to watch the game. My wife was unamused. "really? Even in the middle of the summer??"... I explained it was the playoffs.. and she still didn't care. iPad went back into the backpack.

“But it’s the playoffs!” has got to be way up there on the list of womens least favorite statements from men. Competing with “just the tip” and “I’ll do it later”.
