2024 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Man, might be some absolute chaos.

Lanning rumored to be the #1 candidate.

An off-season where the Alabama and Oregon jobs open in the same off-season would be wild.

Also, I’d prefer to not see Kalen Deboer with Oregon roster talent in the B1G. As I imagine that would be the next domino.

Lanning bolting Oregon for Bama after all the damn star recruits and portal stars they've brought in the last month would be absolutely wild. Would those players just follow him there?

Where would Oregon turn to try to keep it all together? Would be fascinating to see (kinda hope it happens, truthfully).

This would be beyond stunning. But anything is possible these days :chuckle:

This one making the rounds again but still a great one. The best CFB coach of our time won games simply by getting talented players to work their ass off. It’s a testament to how simple the sport of football can be at times. Get the team truly believing there is only one way…..and then drilling that in to their heads 24/7, 365. “It takes, what it takes”.

2024 season just throwing flames already……

Saban stepping away, Paid athlete sub division barreling forward.

So, Lanning is staying at Oregon.

I wonder where Bama shifts too now. Kalen DeBoer? Mike Norvell?

So if I am understanding the FSU story correctly........it is considered a recruiting inducement because a coach drove him to a collective to have a conversation? But if the coach isn't involved with the uber ride, it is fine? And any player negotiating how much he will be paid to attend said school (on his own behalf), is again, fine? The coaches just need to be stumbling around with a walking stick, acting like they are blind?

This whole NIL thing is mind numbingly stupid, like a lot of things in CFB currently. Hopefully the onset of paying roster salaries to these players will fix some of the idiotic things going on, like a coach missing games for this.
