This is very reminiscent of the pitcher we had with the finger issues. I'm sure others will tell me I'm overreacting but at this point I don't expect to ever see DeLauter play for the Guardians. It's a shame but I just feel terribly bad for the young man.

So wait this is his 3rd surgery in 3 years on the same bone in his foot? Holy shit that can't be good.

Z got past his injuries in time... Why I have him being a corner OF and not a CF since we don't know how that foot will hold up...
 
With the injuries to Kwan and DeLauter still fresh, there is some minor good news.

Doug Nikhazy has been activated off of the IL at Akron and is today's starting pitcher.

Adam Miller. And yeah, I agree. Sometimes, unfortunately, a player's body just refuses to cooperate in allowing them to play their sport.

I know how that is personally...

Though that foot I feel like will 100% rule him out in CF with his natural size...

It's the whole reason why we were able to get him where we did... IF he didn't have that injury, he would have never made it to Cleveland...

Correct. Taking advantage of him falling because of a college injury is one thing. Requiring surgery on the same injury two years into his pro career is concerning.

But we gamble like that one anyone we take... He has all the tools, now it's up to that foot healing...
