A quick update on the 19 game stretch, NY thru Houston...

In that stretch we will have played 16 games vs perceived contenders. I thought if we came close to holding our own...9-10, 8-11...we'd be in decent shape. So far we are 9-4.

In that stretch we will have played 16 games vs perceived contenders. I thought if we came close to holding our own...9-10, 8-11...we'd be in decent shape. So far we are 9-4.

I expect to go 3-3 vs Atlanta and Houston and go 12-7 in that span. 2-1 series wins and 13-6 total would be really impressive.

The White Sox are 3-5 against Atlanta, KC and the G's and 0-17 vs the rest of the league.

Betting odds for Oakland to have a better record than Houston or that Houston would be in last place would have been at crazy odds four weeks ago. Especially w/ Houston 2-1 and Oakland 1-3 after the first series of the season.

Houston has played all their games except the National series at teams .500 or better and are 6-17 in those games.
