2024 Season | Series #8 | Red Sox @ Guardians | April 23-25, 2024

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
2 of Freeman's home runs this year well over 400 feet. He's had a lot of big hits so far this year. But he needs to do a lot better than he's done so far. He is starting to draw walks now.

Small sample I'd say....wouldn't you? Historically, Brennan has hit the ball harder and he's starting to do so a lot more consistently.
Player A: Avg: 86.4 Max: 108.8 Barrels 3.2% HardHit 32.3%
Player B: Avg: 86.8 Max: 109.2 Barrels: 4.1% HardHit 37.4%

Who is doing what? These are MLB career stats.

Which is why I said no more than Brennan.

Seems like Gimenez is getting his ‘23 batting eye back.
So what. It’s baseball it’s a long season. Ups and downs. What is your suggestion. ? Let the season play out

Game highlights:

Brennan and Freeman are both doing quite well so far. Brennans wRC+ sits at 114....Freemans at 109. We'd be overjoyed if both of them sat there at the end of the year.

But if you are one of those that are obsessed with home runs, and only home runs, Freeman has hit two less homers than Brennan in 200 less at bats.

Another good win today and yes, I would be ecstatic if both Brennan and Freeman finished the season with their current wRC+. If I'm being honest, I think that's a modest expectation due to both having a very good ability to put the bat on the ball.

We need Andres and Rocchio to kick it in gear.

The BP is getting taxed and the results of that might not show up until the second half of the season, but assuredly they will show up.

Jose's ability to hit is almost as impressive as his unrelenting hustle. We are all very fortunate he wanted to be here. I hope this team can reward him with a couple of WS wins before he calls it a career in Cleveland.

Anyone else think Fry did a fantastic job behind the dish today for a fairly recent convert?

Has anyone said anywhere why TMac was taken out of the game at 75 pitches?

Vogt said that it was a call he didn't want to make, but with two lefties coming up, he didn't want the game to get away, so he went to Herrin.
