I dont see Shareef having the leverage to sign a big contract unless he wants to go back to Atlanta. Hes shown he can get stats, but hes also shown hes not quite the impact player that makes a difference by himself. Z will get bigger money than Shareef, so its possible that both end up on the Cavs, but that would leave the SG spot the same. Basically, not as much improvement when SAR is added over Gooden vs having any of the SG's discussed (the big 4, mobley, simmons, even finley) added to the roster. It would take some magic to get both, but maybe the phantom front office can make that happen

Sar would be a good upgrade over Drew. I would be hesitant to offer him a big contract because hes getting old, he does nothing to help our interior D, Drew is still improving, and looking at his playerfile it seems that he missses a big chunk of games every few seasons. But as everyone is saying, for the right price I would sign him. Especially if we plan on trading Drew.

Well maybe if we are looking sketchy at signing an elite 2 guard, then looking at Rahim maybe an option. Rahim is a good scorer from 20 odd feet in, so in a small way he does help our perimeter scoring. His defense has always been average which is a concern and has never really played on a winning team. But we are hoping that Coach Brown brings in some defensive strategies that covers player weaknesses. Playing alongside Z, will give plenty of oppotunities for SAR. He is very skilled and not prone to mental errors.

Do we then have cap space to target Simmons on top of Z and Rahim? Probably not! Or with SAR , Z and James in the front court, Sasha and Jackson fill the void? Maybe! We then use what space we have left to attack either a point guard or backup center! I hear Tractor is available. LOL
