He said really quickly that a main reason that Redd turned downt the Cavaliers was that Lebron and Gilbert were not there during the wining and dining process. He got the high powered trio of Ferry, Mike Brown and Eric Snow. It seems that Redd thought he got the second class citizen treatment and if the team really wanted him, then the big 2 would have been there to show him around the town.

That sucks but I'm happy with Hughes he is more rounded we dont need to pay 70 million for a 3 point shooter. Hughes brings more to the table..

im happy with hughes but i wish that lebron would have been there D:<

This should destroy any chances of him mentioning us not getting Redd since he just pretty much said LeBron: The effort wasn't there...

That is a rather petty excuse. Why does the owner need to be there? Obviously he is wanted otherwise we wouldn't have offered him the maximum availbale. Anyways....

i caught that too-- and i'm sure mike carins is on top of it all

our local sportscasters are a joke, i find it funny that they will report something that was brought up on this site 4 days earlier then when they report it.

they finally got around to mentioning that the cavs were interested in haslem- i'm pretty sure that it was closing in on the 48 hour mark here on rcf.

but we have to make sure we focus in on that 15 year old female golfer  that's what us locals want to hear about ;)

yeah or kenny rogers pushing over a camera man...or the jeter snub...or the tour de boring...

we need karma as our local sportscaster

he would be broadcasted at the same time on all the channels- he could do it from his local bar.

his lead in music would be some deep breaking news theme
and it would go something on the line of

INDIANS are in the wildcard race

BROWNS still have orange helmets

now to the meat and potatoes mates "ZYDRUNAS ILGAUSKAS"

critical situation here, if this doesn't get done, he are $#@^&* ( KARMA is now OFF the AIR, due to fcc regulations and the usage of the f word)

but to sum up-- study all this- there will be a karma quiz later.

Helluva career recap there too..remember when the Cavs had 4 PLAYERS in that game? It was like Z Cedric Henderson and I forget the other 2 tip of the tongue someone help me out..

brevin knight and derek anderson-- i was there in the garden that night.

i attended the whole all star weekend- it's weird to think back on it, and remember chauncey billups as a celtic, and tracy mcgrady as a 18 year old raptors.

out of all the rookies that were in that game "Z" is the only one that is on his original team

east
brevin knight (cavs)
ron mercer (celtics)
tim thomas (sixers)
van horn (nets)
ilgauskas (cavs)
derek anderson (hurt, cavs)
mcgrady (ratpors)
billups (celtics)
cedric henderson (cavs)

west
antonio daniels (vancouver grizzlies)
alvin williams (blazers)
michael stewart (kings)
bobby jackson (nuggets)
danny fortson (nuggets)
kelvin cato (blazers)
maurice taylor (clippers)
roderick rhodes (rockets)

the best was the all star game though-- watching a 19 year old kobe go up against jordan (still with the bulls) and then watching karl malone and the rest of them freeze kobe in that game

Yeah man the future was lookin bright then wasnt it? Derek was in that MJ commercial cuz mj said he liked his style and stuff and he did well for us. And brevin established himself a nice jimmy. Then we let Derek take a ludicrous offer for Portland and they can't wait till that expires. Brevin is a Fa or maybe not with the Bobcats... Z is in the mountains..lol most likely returning and Ced Henderson was playing in europe last time I heard...and last nba team that signed him was golden state i beleive.

yeah the cavs and nuggs had a combined 6 players in that game who knew we'd both suck until 03 when we landed james and melo lol...it is weird i dont remember chauncey as a celtic and no one really noticed tmca at least i didnt as a raptor... who is roderick rhodes and wtf is yogi stewart doing in there hahaha hard to beleive he had a bright future...ever...

Is Michael Redd serious? Or is this the biggest load of crap I have ever read?

Redd was definatly wanted here. All the articles, all the talk before the season even ended was about getting Redd into Cleveland.

WE EVEN TRIED TO TRADE OUR YOUNG GUYS FOR HIM AT THE DEADLINE!

This is complete bullshit and I seriously can't believe he would not come to Cleveland because "LeBron didn't personally ask him to".

Stay in Milwaukee Michael Green.

dude billups finished that year as a toronto raptor- he was part of that 3 way deal that sent kenny anderson from portland to boston and damonstoudemire from toronto to portland and billups from boston to toronto

nobody really remembers, that toronto had both mcgrady and billups as rookies during the 97-98 season.

that would be the best back court in the nba today.. plus the next year they would have added vince forming possibly the greatest perimeter of all time..

Toronto had tons of talented players.

Damon Stoudamire
Marcus Camby
Vince Carter
Tracy McGrady
Chauncy Billups

Too bad Canadian teams will never keep their star players. The Raptors would have had a nice core if they weren't located in Toronto. But say they were a Texas team, they would have probably been more successfull than the Grizzlies.
