I'm going out to get some new bball shoes tomorrow I've been asked to play on a league in Willowick and my D-Wades from the summer are to put it lightly "a bit worn" :chuckles:

I refuse to get anything but "Lo's" I don't like the mids or highs because you can't run, they hurt your feet..it's the equivalent of wearing wading boots.

I used to fall into the trap of getting what looks cool but right now I'm just going for whatever feels well and is best for my performance with a bonus being if they looked alright.

I'd appreciate some advice on what's good out there right now from the ballers around here..

I know I'm looking at the Gil Zero Lo's tomorrow for sure.

Depends what your price range, dont fall for the "the more it costs the better it is." I have heard good things about Marburys $15 shoe which may be a little tacky.

The Arenas shoe is nice, it comes in lows and highs, i like the low as far as looks better, but ankle support might not be there. Wades shoe is probably good as far as performance, but I would be able to help you better if you had some kind of range.

There are so many flaws with the Starbury shoe it's unbelievable..

The laces are ridiculously long and seriously come undone every trip up/down the court and flop all over the place. The shoe is very stiff they rubbed my achilles raw and actually have blood sports on the inside heels because of how stiff they are, they're just overall very clunky..

My price range is 80 and under right now..maybe 85-90 if the shoes really WOW me..

I would deffinitly check Champs and Finishline, they are always having sales, and since its the start of spring, im sure you can get some good deals.

here are some new low top LeBrons, they are $90.

I could never wear those lol...90 bux and yikes are they ugly..

I'll probably end up getting the Gil Zeros maybe the T-Macs..

Go to ebay, and get you some retro Kobe's... (They're comfortable at least)

How can you hoop in lows? I think you are confusing los with mids, because the Wades only come in mids.

If you are looking for a good shoe, last years Kobe's are on sale for about $80, Air Zoom Generation 1, all leather shoe that fits great around the foot, lightweight and very comfortable. I personally think it's the best basketball shoe ever made.

Even the Lebron's this year are already at $100, pretty good shoe. Gonna weigh a bit more than others though.

Id go with the Kobe, stay away from the starbury.

Naww, they came in Low's...

I agree that playing basketball in Low's isn't good... I know i never have because I like more ankle support... (knowing you cdt, you'll get your ankles broken so might need some extra support )...

If your looking for something relatively cheap and lightweight I'd go for the Huraches... I liked them and they were some of the lightest weight shoes I've worn...

As far as comfort wise with a lot of padding, usually Vince Carter's shoes are good in that department... (The old VC's, two years ago, were amazing comfort wise Here)

I agree with both those choices, both are solid shoes...

I'd even look at these:

Here

I wore those this year for basketball and I don't really have any complaints...

But if you could find the Carmelo's 1.5 in your size, get them... They are possible one of the best shoes I've ever worn and I'm mad I didn't get two pairs...

I'm looking for new bball shoes too.. Anyone knows site, where i can find newest versions of Air Jordans?

Jordans arent really made for Basketball anymore at least not the retro ones, the 22's are really nice, but im not paying $175 for a pair of basketball shoes anymore, and most of the team Jordans, at least to me, arent worth the price on them, your better with just some good Nike's, the new Wade's are pretty cool to.

Those arent made for playing basketball in though, Jordans now are made for "style" purposes. your feet hurt to the point of not being able to walk. And nicekicks.com used to be a variant site, in other words, they sell fakes. you arent going to find the new ones for under retail, if you see them on websites for like $90, they are fugazi. if you want real stuff go to:

pickyourshoes.com
vintagekicks.com

ok thx very much for info.. I'm not going to buy it online, I just need to know the model & say to friend, he will send to me
Go Cavs!

Gotta watch out for the "Gordon's" too like James said. Variants are a big problem, I'll see people sporting them in the mall and it'll make me laugh.

Hey again ;] , what do you think about these: Nike Air Jordan XIII , Nike Air Jordan X , Nike Air Jordan XVIII .. Which colors looks the best for these & which of them are most comfortable for playing bball?
