dudes the 11th inning was awsome, that game reminded me why i like baseball. The indians are very good. I think that this series could go to game 7. Good luck tribe, If we do win then the world series should be really easy. Az and Col are ok teams but not great.

Crazy game, our pitching let us down on that one. Id like to say we have a chance at winning the series, but with Dice-K and then Wakefield pitching on the road, thats a verry good chance of it getting to 3-1, very quick.

Im not sure how any baseball fan could say the world series would be easy, the Rockies are playing very very good baseball and also have a home field advantage that not many other teams in sports have in playing a mile high up. not sure if anyone has ever been to denver, but go to denver and try to play a game of 21, see how long you last, the air wears you out very quick.

Eric Gagne has shown that he is done, after 2007, id be surprised if anyone in the MLB picked him up. I guess thats what roids will do to you.

I think this series is far from over. Sure, Boston has Dice-K and Wakefield going the next two games, but Cleveland has Westbrook and Byrd. Byrd pitched well in his last start, and Westbrook did not. However, we have the advantage of having our 3rd and 4th starters pitching at home.

With the way these two teams can manufacture runs, I'd be scared to be a pitcher.

Wakefield hasnt pitched in a while, so he is a toss up and its all about how the knuckle ball falls, but with the power of Hafner and Sizemore, i can just see them sending it to Gund Arena.

I agree as far as the "manufacture runs" part goes, when either team gets someone on base, it can get ugly fast, this can be said for both sides. And when that happens (which is pretty much how last night went) your going to only be as good as your bullpen, and as you saw last night, the deep part of our bullpen isnt as good as the deep part of clevelands. thats what im basing my thoughts and predictions on.

I said earlier to another person on here, game 2 was more important for boston then cleveland, you can come back from 0-2, especially going back to play 3 at home (hell even 0-3) but being up 2-0 would have made it easier for Dice-K and Wakefield to just pitch there game and not have to worry to much.

lol.. "I'd like to say we have a chance at winning this series"... That's rich..

Talks a bunch of trash at any other point.. Reiterates many times about how great the Sox are.. Now when the chips are down: "I'd like to say we have a chance at winning this series"..Such a fabricated humbleness...

5 game series now... Sox have just as good of a chance to win as the Indians.. Even though the Indians get 3 at home, you still have to favor Boston at this point... They still have the more potent lineup, which is extremely patient.... And they have the slight edge in the pitching matchups (at least on paper) the rest of the way... So if I was a Sox fan, I'd still feel just as confident now as I was going into this...

As for the Tribe.. I'd like to think the momentum in terms of the Indians bats could swing in our favor so to speak.. Just in terms of waking up....However, as the saying goes (or kinda goes, I'm not sure how it goes verbatim): "Your momentum goes only as far as your next days starting pitcher"--- Fausto and CC sure had trouble with that 2-3-4-5 part of the lineup... Not sure I'm real confident in Jake and/or Paul handling them all that well...

The Sox are so much better than they were a couple weeks back... Manny is hitting his stride, and Youkalis is taking more pitches and in turn getting quality pitches to hit throughout an at-bat... Not to mention the Japanese lefty that has got it back on track...

I love how everyone in the media is grossly overreacting after every game.

Game 1 Boston shit stomps us and immediately the media goes "It's over...Cleveland just doesn't have the horses". Cleveland pulls away late in Game 2 and the media goes "Cleveland showed why they're here tonight, their pitching is just going to be too much for Boston to overcome."

They're trying to hand the series over after every game...it's 2 games out of a possible 7. This series is already going at least 5 games and I think it goes 7 without a doubt.

I wanted to bring up Tom Mastny and his performance against boston's best 3 hitters. He went 1-2-3 in the inning when I thought that the game was over for sure.

It might be to early to say but that outing could be a career changer, his confidence has to be so high right now. Great great point in that kid's career.
