Im sorry if its inapropriate to make this thread --but i just had to. I want to dedicate this thread to Danny Ferry. Our new General Manager.
I m really pleased with what ferry has been doing since he got here, lets take a quick look

Trades Jiri Welch for a 7'3 19 year old Z :)
Gets us one of the shooting guards we needed
Offered a deal to the best point guard in the europe.

And now hes talking with

Radmonovic
Haslem
and Z

Guys , im so pleased that we got Ferry as our GM, Mike brown and him make a hell of a combo. They both worked for the elite teams in the west too, so that gives them more experiance.

I cant say enough about what hes done in such a short period of time, plus this is nothing... i bet he can pull of some trades for our team too... since all the talk about haslem has arrised im pretty sure we'll be getting rid of gooden. Time will tell.

All Hail Danny Ferry!

hes talking with radmonovic? awesome

I am very pleased with Ferry so far. Some people didn't like the idea of Ferry as a general manager. They could not seperate Ferry the player from Ferry the front office person. Ferry is smart, knows what it takes to win and has been "trained" by the best.

Danny Ferry is making the moves he has to in order to keep Lebron happy and in Cleveland. He's not wasting any time talking to free agents, and I'm really happy to see that. Also I think that the fact that he's talking to Vlad and Haslem means Drew Gooden is on the trading block. Keep the moves coming Ferry your doing great.

Ferry is giving us a great offseason. He seems to know how to put a good team together. He just needs to sign a couple more players and possibly make one trade and this offseason will be a major success.

We all knew Danny Ferry had the pedigree (SA) and was a Cavaliers lifer, but he's showing to be more proactive than I thought he would be. (talking with Haslem and Saras). That is so KEY, Cavaliers have never been known for being a proactive team, it's always been "wait til next year".

Granted, we've been clearing cap for this summer for a long time some (this situation has been basically handed to him on a silver platter), but he's doing an awesome job, even with having all those advantages.

Mike Brown, I really need to see him in action yet.

Danny Ferry has done tremendously well thus far. He has stepped into the perfect scenario that any GM would dream of. Cap space galore on a solid team featuring a player that could be one of the greatest of all time. If this franchise was in LA, it would be the cushiest job ever.

I liked Ferry as a GM candidate and think the Cavs made the right move in hiring him. He has done everything right so far and I don't think there should be any complaints about him.
He even did a good job in making 2 more front office hires today. Lance Blanks from the Spurs is also considered one of the top young rising executives in the league.

I'm not sure about Radmanovic being connected with the Cavs. I don't believe they've had any contact with him or are expected to, at least as of now. The only connection I've come across was Radmanovic's agent mentioning the Cavs among a list of teams they might talk to. With all the cap space the Cavs have they get connected to every FA especially from their agents.

yeah NarlCavs your right, im wrong, sorry

What has impressed me most about Ferry is how he bounced back from getting rejected by Redd. I've said it before, but I think a lot people spew crap when they talk about their well-made backup plans. He had one and made it happen. And there's a lot more to look forward to.

Found this on SaneCavsTalk, and it gave me a chuckle.

Just for fun... I was thinking of an interesting Hughes comparision today:

Ron Harper his last full year in Cleveland ('88-'89):
18.6 ppg. 51 FG%. 75% FT%. 25% on 3s. 5.0 rpg. 5.3 apg. 2.3 spg. 0.9 bpg. 230 total turnovers.

Larry Hughes last year:
22ppg. 43% FG%. 78% FT%. 28% on 3s. 6.3 rpg. 4.7 apg. 2.9 spg. 0.3 bpg. 153 total turnovers.

Mr. Daniel Ferry: On behalf of The City of Cleveland, we are unquestionably even!

LMAO

I keep forgetting how good a player Harper was before the knee injury: 18.6 ppg on over 50% shooting from the guard spots with 5+ assists and rebounds

Nice job Danny Ferry many league observers scratched their heads when we signed you, but we defended you pointing out many thought you were one of the bright young minds in the game and so far you are proving those critics right and the other doubters wrong. Keep it up, also nice job on the assistants you hired. :D
