Man, so I'm wondering you can kinda draw some conclusions from the players here. Do they a bias against rookies? Or, the inverse, do they have a bias in favor of older vets? Because I can't make a case, at all, for Carmelo over Embiid (or Love, but Embiid finished even further behind him).
Or did the players just not care?
And if the players did care, how much of the voting was personal? Were they more apt to vote for themselves, their friends, or their teammates?
Also, the most laughable thing is how on Earth the players had CJ McCollum ranked ahead of Chris Paul. Again, do we have something more than on-court play at work here. Like, does Chris Paul's dirty reputation carry some weight around the league, and thus hurt him in voting with the players?
