All-Star Weekend in Cleveland Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The GOATmentator recaps the All-star game. Beau Estes is called that because of his clever, rhyming, punning calls.

Nice tweet. There's a big difference between sports hate and real hate. Steph has done a LOT for the game by making shooting cool and I respect the man. That was an incredible performance last night.

Sad that Kyrie wasn't there. He strikes me as a confused person but he has skills worth paying to see. He should be in the prime of his career but he just doesn't seem committed to the game.

It was funny he missed his last 6. Could have broken allstar scoring record

I'll be honest, I rarely watch the all-star game weekend, but because it was at home and we had some guys participating I watched most of it. One of the things that stood out to me is, even among all-stars, there are tiers. The top tier are guys like Curry, Lebron, Giannis, Embiid - established superstars who are clearly better than everyone else. They are just special. Next tier are guys like Young, Morant, Doncic, Jokic, who are close, or who might become top tier. Then their is the bottom tier - Middleton, Allen, VanVleet who are great players, but have a way go to reach the top. It's not a coincidence that the titles go to teams with guys in the first tier.

How is Jokic in Tier 2 and Embiid in Tier 1 if Jokic has won a title and Embiid hasn't?

I think Jokic is a legit superstar. The problem is that his game isn't going to shine in an All-Star game when so much of the game is one-on-one basketball or just bombing away.

Fair point for sure. All star games rarely make big guys look good.

This is how Maximus and I used to play on this forum. But then I think he died or something.
