I'd hate to start hitting the panic button and I know that we can offer Lebron more money than anyone else at the end of this season. But now NY will have a bunch of cash coming off the books next year (houston was owed 20mil). Should get interesting...

Doesn't really change anything. Lebron isn't an unrestricted free agent until 2 more years after this season. Allan Houston was of the books after next season. And the Knicks are still over the cap when Lebron's contract is up.

I am more worried about almost every OTHER team getting Lebron...NY has years before it is back on its feet.

It is always sad to see a guy finish a career this way. The guy was a gun pure shooter. As for them getting some salary relief, it wont matter if we look after our own back yard.

I still don't think the Knicks wil have the necessary room to offer LeBron a max contract. They did also add the big long term contracts of Curry and J. James this offseason. That won't stop the NY media from speculating about this for the next 2 years.

Houston was a solid player and one of the best shooters in the league. He wasn't worth close to the ridiculous contract he got but was still a good player before the knee problems.

He had one of the coolest nicknames, H20......like water, his J is flowin!!! I think he had that nickname on his shoes. Too bad he couldnt overcome injury and show us more of his flow.

That's what I don't like about the Redd signing.. Same type of player, and doesn't give you the overall production to backup that type of deal if something was too happen..

Max players should get max dollars.. Not just the best player on your team..
