I'll ask this of Karma, but if anybody else would have the CBA knowledge, please by all means chime in..

As some of you know, I am one of the stronger "Magic" Jackson supporters... However in an effort to improve our roster, I would also be willing to accept seeing him exit as long as we got something in return... :(

I imagine teams would be willing to give up more, but I was wondering if Luke or Sasha (But most likely Luke) could be part of a package for Vlad-Rad in Seattle ?

The reason I say Luke is because of the location and draw of having him in the upper north west.. Being from that area and all, and reuniting him with his college roommate Ridnour...OH YEAH, AND THE FACT THAT HE IS SOOOO MUCH BETTER THEN SASHA.. :chuckles:

Rumblings out of Seattle has Vlad-Rad not too pleased with his role..

I would say having D-Jones, Marshall, and Vlad-Rad coming off the bench would make us extremely stong..

He is of course a more polished player at this point then that of Luke or Sasha....I know we have more pressing needs then another wing player, but I love his stroke..

I'm not sure how it could work, or what else would have to be involved ?.. He's on I believe a one year deal ?

I would just hate to see "PISTOL" LUKE go :thumbdown... But if it makes us stronger and better in the long run  ..

I can't say I would hate this.

Radman is making 3.1 million this year (a contract year)

Players we could deal in order get him:

Ira Newble - 2.9 million (three years left on contract)
Luke Jackson - 1.9 million (two years left, one team option pick-up)
Sasha Pavlovic - 1.2 million (two years left)
Anderson Varejao - 800 thousand (two years left)

I think we know AV is off the table, and I don't see Seattle wanting Newble's contract...so Seattle would probably want both Sasha and Luke for Radman.

I am not really thrilled with that, and I am not really thrilled with getting a player that is would be traded because of his grumblings. However, he does have incredible talent and sort of already has what we would hope to get out of Luke or Sasha. If we acquired him, we wouldn't even need Sasha and Luke.

While I have my reservations (as always), I would pull the trigger on that deal.

I wouldn't want to trade those guys. Once Vlad is due to resign, you might find yourself being SHOCKED at the amount he would be wanting to resign for. I'm also not in favor of trading Sasha and Luke at the same time. If later down the road we trade one of them, I could take that. Vlad is a 4 who can play the 3 on offense. But look at our team. The minutes at the forward spot is tight as is, without jamming another forward into the mix. I'm watched Vlad play a lot on my NBA League pass and he's an enimga. Talented as can be but doesn't seem to put it all together. Sometimes you watch him and say "This guy could be as good or better than Lewis one day" and the next day you find yourself saying, "Talented but soft." Seeing the way Vlad is complaining right now, how would fighting with Gooden, Marshall, Henderson and AV guarantee him more playing time? The reason Vlad wants to leave is to be a star, see big playing time and be the man. He couldn't be that on our team. So it's pointless to me.

Probably right. He would more than likely be gone next year and once AV returns he is going to just as unhappy about his minutes here as in Seattle...too bad he isn't a little shorter and little faster...he would be great as backup two gaurd.

A good place for Radman to go would be New Jersey...he could be a starter and get all the minutes he wants there.

Vlad Rad is decent... but is crap. He's a cancer. Unnecesary.

We already have a tall, big man that can shoot the three: Donyell Marshall. And he can rebound, unlike the silly Vlad Rad. Had we not gotten Donyell Marshall, then I would consider it. But if Vlad is playing mainly at the 3... bah.

Really though. He's getting 15 minutes a game and complaining. Would he get more here? Absolutely not. His situation wouldn't change. He's playing behind Nick Collison and Danny Fortson for crying out loud. Poor. Poor.

No thanks to Vladimir Radmanovic. One-dimensional.

But... if Seattle gets desparate... I would consider trading Newble for him. Just a thought. But not our young talent. Not Luke. Sorry, LePip, I just lost faith in you for even considering trading Luke for this scrub.

The Marshall signing placed Radmanovic low on my priority as a potential Cavalier. The fact he wants to play major minutes and is in his contract season, means he will be displeased as a Cavalier. His minutes would not extend over 20mpg, which would lead to an unhappy camper and a free agent fleeing. I would not trade Luke for him as Radman is only going to be around this season. Like I said, we are set at the perimeter now with Marsall, James, Jackson, Jones and Pavlovic.

Agreed. Radmanovic will be an unrestricted FA after the season. He could leave without the Cavs getting anything in return. He was also looking for a contract like the one Bobby Simmons got from the Bucks. The Cavs won't be handing out big long term contracts for their bench players.
I wouldn't have minded Radman in the past but don't think he's as necessary as he once was.

Karma made me do it :chuckles: ... I was told I would be banned if I didn't follow thru..

Now LePip for you're next mission, we trade Damon Jones for Kevin Ollie. Do your thing!
