Baker Mayfield: Fire The Cannons

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yes, as I'm sure you remember all the top 10 banter back when Bake was in CLE.
I have just accepted that’s just what happens with fanbases. I mean even right now, currently, there are people saying they wouldn’t trade Watson for Josh Allen on this very forum. An opinion shared by 0 non Browns fans

We always overrate our own and it’s not unique to us. Steelers fans refuse to give up on clear failure Ken Pickett

Yeah I root for Baker to be like a slightly worse Goff

I liked him while he was here and while I wanted to move on I don’t hate him like I hate that front running pussy Cade York

I don’t want him to be a superstar, but I wish him a successful career. Also makes our #1 pick look slightly less bad if he carves out a Jeff Garcia career

A slightly worse Goff is a good comp--but I'd say he's a Goff who needs more things to go right to succeed.

He can't have an offensive line that allows any push in the middle. He also needs reads that are clearly open, preferably horizontally or up the seam.

Yeah he looked great. That's the Baker we all wanted to see consistently.

We simply need to still see more going forward considering Minnesota and Chicago sport bad defenses, but... the general consensus was Baker is Baker, one foot out of the league, the other foot in the backup role, and fantasy speaking, everyone was told to stay away from all of his weapons.

I'll enjoy the wave whatever he brings because it's all entertainment at the end of the day, you either pull for him or you don't. I have a feeling if this play keeps up, the twitter cesspool Baker Bro's will be a shitstorm.

If you thought he was close to being out of the league, there's not much to say--you're an idiot.

If you think he's significantly better than the Gardner Minshews and Ryan Fitzpatricks of the world, you're probably in the same boat.

I think we all know what Baker is at this point.

Fitzmagic is who he reminds me the most of, and I think he is actually more reliable overall than Baker. He’s in the grey area of being too good to be a full-time backup but not quite good enough or reliable enough to be a full-time starter. Great emergency blanket. But ceiling as a starter is probably a 9-8 wild card team unless the talent around him is just outstanding.
