Baker Mayfield: Fire The Cannons

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Annually Bake vs Rosen comp!

Baker Mayfield: top 50 ranked player in the NFL. Starting Qb and leader for the up and coming Cleveland Browns. Super bowl aspirations and goals. Finally a FQB. Top 15 Qb with most seeing elite teir within a few years.

Josh Rosen: Currently getting beat out in Miami by Ryan Fitzpatrick afterrr being traded and replaced by the Cardinals after picking another QB #1.

Good times.

Edit: check out that capitalization ya’ll

*Super Bowl... Sorry, had to

I thought Rosen would at least be serviceable. He seemingly had all the fundamentals down.

But I guess I was wrong.

I was never a fan of Rosen, but it's honestly too early to know that he'll never be at least serviceable. It's still very early in training camp, and he's learning a new offense.

I love Baker, but I do think it’s a little early to proclaim him anything just yet, same with Rosen.

Mayfield has certainly answered many of the questions that normally come with making the transition from college -- especially the Big 12 -- to the pros. And he's already demonstrated off the charts leadership qualities. Rosen hasn't done any of that yet.

Pretty fair to say that Mayfield is already at least at average NFL starter, and Rosen isn't close to showing that yet.

Baker was better then, is better now, and will be better into the future.

Pretty cut and dry case here

The one thing I disliked about Mayfield is his tendency to tuck and run the ball for two or three yards and take full on hits.

He would often do this in the second half of games when, realistically, the other team wasn't going to come back and win. I really worried about Baker knowing that wouldn't work at the next level. So many good college QBs with good arms and anticipation never figure that part out.

Mayfield seemed to figure it out just fine by week five or six.

The greatest ability, is availability.

It is a quote from Beavis and Butthead from a homeless man trying to get them to give him money. Not sure why I still remember the quote, lol
I need to find that show. Feel like part of my life is missing without them.

My favorite one I do remember, "My liver, my liver"
