Baker Mayfield: Fire The Cannons

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Softness comes from high body fat. You can be absolutely shredded but have basically no muscle. Lil Wayne looks ripped and he's a hundred pounds

Yes, but I was referring to the thought that he was rotund fat, double chin stuff.

He has clearly lost some weight since the season but right now, as you note, he still has a higher body fat percentage than optimal.

While he isn't round with bitch titties and a huge gut, he is skinny fat.

He should keep up the cardio and hit the weight room.

I think peloton does live QB workouts now.

Speaking of QB stuff, what do you lads make of Baker's refusal to hire a QB coach for the off-season?

@Juice Is Loose @Randolphkeys @AZ_ @Amherstcavsfan

I am very hopeful this was a one time mistake due to planning his wedding. It was obviously an arrogant approach to his craft. If Peyton Manning kept going back to his old college coach for mechanics work through his 40s, I don't see any reason Baker shouldn't be equally as dedicated to his craft.

As far as I know, Baker typically shuns that type of off season stuff. Dating back to youth camps, where guys tried to tell him he would never make it doing his thing as a QB.

Now, that being said, I wish he wouldn't because he's got obvious flaws in his game that a QB expert/coach/guru/whateverthefuck would absolutely help. Guys who can help him improve his game with little tweaks and drill the proper footwork into Baker to help him. Stuff even as simple as getting his drops right instead of dropping too deep and giving his tackles literally zero help.

It's not ideal. Doesn't mean he should or should not do it, but it's ignoring an obvious resource that has helped make a lot of guys, including guys at the top of the sport, better.

That stubbornness goes both ways.

Makes him a great leader, at times, but he seems too stubborn for his own good this early in his career after a serious case of regression.

I would like him to at least have a great playoff game before he starts thinking he doesn't need help.

Isn’t he already married now?
He’s not working with a QB coach this offseason either.

I was referring to last off-season.

The franchise is getting an overhaul. We didn't have an offensive coordinator until last night and still don't have a QB coach. When everything is assembled, I'm expecting somebody in the organization to lay down some expectations for the off-season that sadly Freddie never got around to doing. Baker didn't like summer coaching in high school and college? Fine, but this is your job now. You are going to make generational wealth, but you are going to work out in the summer. Tough titties.

I might add that he can't afford another bad season before realizing he could every bit of help he can get.

Hopefully, he bounces back this year.

If he doesn't, there will have built up a very real opinion that he doesn't take the craft seriously and is too entitled and arrogant. Accusations will be flying fast and thick.

Especially if he keeps them titties into the season.

Dude he is not skinny fat. He fat

In all seriousness baker admitted to fox before the prime time steelers game that he did not put in enough work last off season and said it was a mistake. Does anyone know what the plan is besides mini camp? Is he spending any time in Berea in the off season? If he truly wants to make the leap we need he is going to have to put in a ton of work leading up into late July.
