Calm down, little guy. Don't be so fucking dramatic. Besides, we haven't talked forever and this is how you come at me? Sheesh.
Roll the tape on that. Odell runs right to the LB. Either OBJK or Hunt works better than what he actually did.
Not my fault you said something goofy and incorrect.
And look I've watched the play repeatedly.
Mayfield's first read is DPJ on a double move to the right. DPJ ran a quick out and Baker pump faked as DPJ released into a go route along the right sideline.
The corner did make illegal contact with DPJ on the double move, which probably would have been flagged had Baker thrown the ball. Unfortunately, Baker for whatever reason - and I don't have the All-22 yet to see exactly where the safety was - but he didn't throw the ball even though DPJ appears to have beaten his defender up the field even with the contact (SEE UPPER LEFT CORNER OF SCREEN)
So Baker comes off his primary and there's Beckham right in front of his face with a clear passing window. This throw has to be ripped immediately. It just has to. Beckham's defender is closing in, but if Baker is on time and on target, it's gonna gain at least 6-7 which would set up a 3rd and manageable at worst.
Of course Baker hesitated like he often does instead of trusting his eyes and letting it rip and that hesitation allowed the defender to get too close to Beckham for Baker to feel comfortable making the throw.
But to suggest that Baker should have thrown to Hunt here is just laughably incorrect.
