For those who like to dig down into the numbers, BS doesn't compile minor league data like they do with MLB stats (yet) but here is how to find some of the data now that they have automated umpires balls/strikes - where pitch-by-pitch data is gathered.

Go To MiLB.com and find the game summary that you want like Clippers vs Cubs from last night

At the end of the gameday summary URL, you will find the game ID (723540)

Plug it into

For example, you can see Pilk was basically 3-pitch pitcher with 4-seam (avg 90.7) and a slider that was mainly out of the zone (30% in zone - so MLBers would be more patient). He got 1 WHIFF on a FB. His change seemed decent but stopped it 1/2 way through. His curve got tattooed so he only threw 2 of them.

Sorry -- I think he is one of the next guys to go (DFA/trade) as he doesn't have the stuff as a reliever and has already been bypassed by Curry and Gaddis as the next guys up.

Something is off with Pilkington. I imagine we'll hear something soon because his FB is better than 90 mph. It should be setting around 92-94 and touching 96 frequently. He can't control anything either.

Forgot to mention the Bimbo warning about these stadium guns ... can be a bit off (slower) as most pitchers were 1-2 mph off last years averages in mlb.

Yet, Konnor did throw more sliders than last year (and last years heat map showed them in zone .. now down and away). His fastball last year produced a lot of whiffs vs just one last nigh. Thus, you maybe onto something that is not just right.

I based my assessment off of his highlight video from last year. He was pretty much 92-94 most of the time and touch 96 a few times.
Konnor Pilkington 2022 Highlights

I know I've been "higher" than most on Pilkington and Battenfield, but it isn't without reason. There is good potential in both and they have a good mix of pitches that could really help our rotation going forward. What really puts both those guys higher up on my wishlist is the fact that they are durable as hell. Right now, both need better control and if they can get to the point where they can command all of their pitches then we are on to something very good IMO.

Edited to add that I also think both can pitch to contact effectively and that means they could eat a lot of innings.

Pilkington's average FB in 2022 was 92.1 MPH. Max was 96.4.
