It's possible, but I think it will take nearly all of the one loss teams losing again, ie. the only team with 1 loss will have to be the loser of the OSU-UM game. Which seems pretty unlikely. You've got to believe at least one other team will have just 1 loss. (This is discarding teams like Rutgers and Boise State. They will not be playing for the national title.)LePIP said:What's the chances of a rematch ? Possible ?
If Florida drops one, and ND wins out, then there will be a rematch....of last year's Fiesta Bowl. The George said:if Florida drops another game...and Rutgers falls to WVU and USC loses to like Cal
then we might have to have a rematch
but I dont think it will be a rematch.....maybe im wrong
Style said:Again, you show your ignorance. The loser of this game gets to play in the Rose Bowl. Yes, it will suck to lose this one, but that's a pretty phenominal consolation prize.
Virginia Tech would give it's left nut to play in a BCS bowl.
James, you've been saying all year "Just wait till you guys lose!" like the world will end with a Buckeye loss, and the program will be in shame. Sure, Ohio State wants a national title. No kidding. But if they lose a game, but still go to an elite bowl and finish top 5 that's a very good. Add in a Heisman trophy and you have special season, undefeated or no.James 23 said:ignorance to you is a differing opinion then that of yours, your a cool dude, but you take stuff out of context, you know damn well you dont want to play in the damn rose bowl, you want the national championship. a rose bowl for you wouldnt be as sweet as a national championship. that is what i meant by "a wrap".
and yea i guess i i did miss the Minnesota game i didnt see it on the ESPN scores. But even at that, Rutgers shut out more teams.
I don't buy the more shutouts theory. OSU is leading the nation in scoring defense. They're giving up only 7.8 points per game. Rutgers is giving up 10.9. So if points surrendered is what drives the computers, then OSU should be ahead of Rutgers.James 23 said:Rutgers shut out more teams.
