With all the talk about the cavs needing to pick up a 2 guard this offseason, I want to know who you guys think should be our #1 target. IMO, it is Mike Redd because in addition to his shooting, I think he would have no problem being a second option to lebron.... tell me what you guys think

There are all sorts of threads through out the pages that discuss this topic. Just so you know you can go bakc and look if your itching for shooting guard talk :chuckles:

Welcome aboard MillerTime09.

As E-Light stated, there is oodles and OODLES of SG talk within this board. You will find many opinions from posters around.

To answer your question, my priority list shows as this:

1. Ray Allen
2. Michael Redd
3. Joe Johnson
4. Larry Hughes
5. Michael Finely (if bought out)
6. Cuttino Mobely
7. Bobby Simmons

my list...

#1. Joe Johnson (defender, and a shooter)
#2. Larry Hughes (defender, can slash, pass, rebound, and play pg)
#3. Ray Allen (leader, great shooter, can slash, moves well without the rock)
#4. Michael Redd (younger version of ray allen, but not quite as good)

screw the rest....................... we either get 1 of these 4 or WE'RE in some serious trouble.

In terms of who the best player is there is no question it is Ray Allen without doubt.

In terms of age and potential then the top SG is Joe Johnson, but he's going to be resigned now that Q got traded away

Im still holding on to some hope for getting JJ. RealGM is reporting that the Q for Thomas deal may not go through because the Suns arent providing the Knicks with health insurance papers or something like that. The trade is still very likely to happen though. JJ would be a perfect fit here imo.
