Well we may as well kiss this season goodbye and start selling veterans. Cliff Lee refused to sign before the season and is a FA and it's doubtful he will want to be back, so we might as well deal him at the deadline to a contender for their prospects.

Glad we gave up on Brandon Phillips he is christlike down in Cincy :thumbdown I want Marte up here asap..get Garko too, deal Broussard.

The only untouchables on the current everyday active list are Grady Haf Carmona and Sowers. Everything else can go...

They better pick it up next year, I heard on that Cleveland Rants show today that Dolan said he will start spending when the fans start showing back up

They compared it to going to a crappy restaraunt and the manager telling you if you keep coming back eventually they'll put good food on the menu. FYI Cheapskate..when we sold out like 360 games in a row, we had a payroll quadrouple what this is, because our owner didn't wrestle hobos for nickels :thumbdown

I really do like are team... only things on offence i would do is:

1. put martinez at first...

2. bring up marte see if he can start for us next season, i hope he can and will...

3. find a catcher and i think shopach or however u spell his name is a good one...

4. try and find a left fielder, keep micheals as a util OF where he was sweet for the phillies...

5. resign lee, keep byrd as #5 pitcher and if we dont have a #4 pitcher go sign one...

6. resign balliard...

do these things and i think we can be real good... are SS is good he will finish the season strong... people can talk about how much blake sucks but people lie stats dont and i love blake...

Martinez throws like a girl, he couldn't throw out Butter Bean if he tried. Moving him to first would be nice if he could be able to outslug Garko but he won't. Garko is a monster and is going to be a force.

Not sure why you want Belliard back as he's done nothing this season, your basically keeping the same team in tact and saying that if we keep the same players we're going to magically get good.

lol your a joke!!!!!!!!!! sure if garko becomes a stud u gotta take him... but martinez is not a piece of crap... martinez if traded we would need pretty good amount in return, not no minors... plus im not convinced on the theory that your 1st basemen needs 30+ homeruns... vic will bat 310+ when this season is over, and its not like victor has no power...

belliard has done nothin??? ummmm OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he is batting well and im not even gonna start on his def... if some how indians get a chance at a better 2nd basemen then of corse u gonna take it... but belliard is the best we will get, and is little more then half the reason people still go to games besides there hotdogs...

Ok I'll be nice now that I know I'm dealing with a 1st grader...

Garko is getting praise from everyone in Buffalo, they truly beleive he is going to be a full blown slugger. Being that this Indians current team can't score runs past the 7th inning it'd be a good idea to add bigger bats.

The only play you can count on for a good AB day in and day out is Hafner. I'd much rather have Brandon Phillips then Ron Belliard, Phillips was tearing it up in Cincy last I saw and his defense was always superb.

But that ship has sailed, we can't be satisfied with Belliard as our 2nd basemen if we want to move forward.

I'm going to talk slow so you can understand me. Resigning all the same players, to play the same positions they did last year is going to result in us being a very bad underachieving team in 4th place. Don't start with personal insults because you don't agree with something. Thanks

phillips is gone, sure he would be better but he could not cut it with us... everytime he got a chance with us he choked... Thing is belliard really wants to play for use and is a GOOD PLAYER... if we let him go we better have a plan and a damn good one...

marte is getting alot praise to and also just won the homerun derby...

shopach looks to be a good catcher with a strong bat...

Trade Wicky --- Let Carmona/Cabrera get their expierence for next season

Trade Broussard --- There is no place for him on the team.. .Yea he has a good season, but his value is the highest it will ever be.

Trade Hollandsworth --- Bring up Guiterrez and let him get expierence in the bigs... Hollandsworth is a band-aid.. Just like Flip. Bring in the youth.

Put Victor at 1st --- Put Shoppach at catcher, at least he has an arm.. If we put Victor at 1st, we disguise his weakness and we finally have a corner fielder with some power.

Trade Boone --- Bring up Marte... Like the majority, let him get his expierence... It is time for us to see what he has..

Face this year is over... Let the young guys play in the major leagues and prepare for next year... We need to assess what we got, and get what we don't in the offseason.

So basically

CF - Sizemore
RF - Blake
SS - Peralta
DH - Hafner
1B - Martinez
3B - Marte
2B - Belliard
C - Shoppach

I do agree with some of the points u have CDT do get me wrong... garko will have a chance and i would also like to see him play with us, most likely he can split time with martinez cuz vic will not be traded unless we get a offer we cant refuse...

All I said was...any young guys we can bring in for the veterans that no longer fit and are not the in plans deal them. Bring up the young guns and let them get half a year under their belt, so hopefully next year they aren't clueless come opening day. Because next year the opening day 3rd basemen will be Marte.

We have to be players in free agency, we can't just sit back and sign a guy for 1 mill here or a 2 year deal for 3 million.

We need to make a splash..will it ever happen?

Remember, we still have the Belliard situation.. He will probably want a pretty big contract..

I would trade him, but we don't have anybody to step in for him.. Although, IMHO, it wouldn't be a bad idea to put Peralta at 2B... Just like Victor, we can try to disguise his arm..

I'd also like to add that Wicky will be a FA at the end of the season.. So, why not trade him now and get some value for him, then let him go for nothing.

Our GM has nothing to do with it... It's all about the owner Jim Dolan... If he doesn't dish out the bucks to finance the team, then we go nowhere..

Shapiro is probably one of the best GM's in baseball, considering what he has to work with.. If he actually had some money to work with, he could do some big damage..

Let's hope Mark Cuban will buy the franchise..:chuckles:
