I'm generally terrified of guys near or over 60 that have never held an NFL/college head coaching job before. Coaches change every year... there's usually a reason these guys haven't been hired for any opening over the years. Of all the head coaches currently in the NFL, the highest starting age for a new hire without NFL/college experience is 51.
Interviewing two guys who are older than that in Trestman (57) and Arians (60) scares the crap out of me. We don't need another Romeo. If we can't get the established stud, there has to be some young, hungry superstar assistant out there... right?
We drafted a 30 year old QB. I don't think age is going to play a role in the decision. :chuckles:
