Browns sign Chris Hubbard

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Guys, since we're the moral internet police now, stop sharing PFF grades. That shit is behind a paywall!

Just feel like you're doing backbends to find the "issue" with about everything Dorsey has done. Was just ribbing you.
Truthfully I don't know much about the tackle. I used to watch a ton of NFL football, but the last few seasons I've really only watched the Browns and other shitty teams duking it out with us for draft position. I just think its interesting that on a team that spends so little relative to the NFL at so many position groups, I believe we spend the most on the offensive line.

Truthfully, I don't care who the guy calling the shots is. I railed against Sashami for the Peppers, Kizer, and Ogunjobi picks. I was extremely vocal about hating the britt signing. But I gave him credit for Garrett and Njoku. Loved the Zeitler signing. Even though I liked Salami I was never afraid to say when I thought we were being stupid. And sometimes it was unwarranted. Like I've got egg all over my face from Ogunjobi. And I'm glad.

If Dorsey comes away with 2 of the following players (only 1 of them QBs) in the first 2 picks I'll be singing his praises: Rosen, Darnold, Fitzpatrick, Chubb, Ward.

Didn’t PFF rate Tony Pashos as above average or something? They have flaws compared to the eye test.

True, but for players one is unfamiliar with it is nice to see some type of numbers. I also don’t really know how to grade players in certain positions overall outside of using PFF and/or madden (with a grain of salt) as quick references. The eye test is always the best, but when ya aren’t sure how to grade someone, it’s best to use numbers/peeps who do lol

PFF absolutely has its flaws. Its by no means perfect nor should it be considered gospel

but it does have some great pros to it as well. It serves as an unbiased opinion from people whose job it is to watch every player on every play of every game and rank them on an apples to apples comparison. I would venture to guess not a single one of us has the free time to do the same. Not that it's necessary to watch every snap of a player to form an opinion on him, but it is nice to have pff as a tool to help in evaluations. It shouldn't make up the entirety of the evaluation though

But will you give him a clever nickname? Sashami and Salami are extremely clever.

What will you call John Dorsey? Dorkey? Donkey? How about plays on John? Toilet? Crapper? What if we just call him the shitter? Shit Donkey? How is that?

So far I like these moves, but Shit Donkey gave up WAY too much for Tyrod...

Dorseradish. Duncey. Darcey (for those Haslem folks). Borecy. Just off the top of my head.

I liked the Kizer trade

I’m not some ultra pessimist. I was happy with Garrett, Njoku, Coleman. Hue. Zeitler

Plenty of moves I’ve liked in the past. I don’t have to like everything dude

So everything Sushi did. Hmmmm!

Keep reading, Chris. My next post I talk about things I hated that Sashi did. Believe it or not I don’t have an allegiance to any of these guys. Moves I don’t like I’m vocal about. Moves I like I’m vocal about.

I read it, and was fucking with you. I just recalled you being one of the people that lost their shit when Sashi was fired.

I find it funny I've acquired this reputation as an eternal pessimist when there are others around here skeptical of every other move and I've been happy with everything, though.

Hubbard got a bit more than I expected him to get, but clearly the Browns see him as their starting right tackle moving forward.

I like Coleman and would obviously keep him since he’s cheap, but 7.5M per year for Hubbard is pretty much fair market value for a RT.

I personally don’t think Hubbard is in the mix for the starting left tackle role if Thomas does end up retiring.

If Joe does decide to hang them up, I think Solder would get offered a MASSIVE deal. Have to think he’d accept provided he doesn’t get antsy and make his decision before Joe makes his.

I know you're joking, but if you google "Player Name PFF", the first link shows their overall grade, rank among their position, and tier from rookie to elite.
