Browns Sign: Ted Washington

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Washington is a nice short term pickup but turning 38 next month is a little worrisome. Hopefully he can remain healthy.
At least his signing gives the Browns more time to find or develop a longer term solution at NT.
Sam Adams is 33 and Ron Edwards, another DT from the Bills who could play NT, is only 26. They would have been longer term solutions.

I wouldn't count on Ngata falling to the Browns yet. Good D lineman are always highly coveted and you can't have enough.

Good point Narl. Washington is a tough guy who rarely suffers injuries, but he is old as dirt. The Browns will need a solid young backup at NT, preferably another space-eater over 320 pounds. The position will likely be adressed at some point in the first 5 rounds after we snatch up a few linebackers. I liked the nose tackle from Michigan who is coming out this year.

All the same, Roye and Washington are true professionals and anchors for the defensive front 7.

I would like Nagata at 12 or hope Gabe Watson lands in our lap in the 2ndround...we definatly need some youth at the postion.....Teddy is better tahn Fisk thoug so at least it was an upgrade

Good point, now that we have a veteran in Washington he could be the mentor for the next NT. So it is pertinant that the Browns get a young NT.

My options in the draft for NT's are...

1. Ngata Oregon
2. Bunkley Florida State
3. Watson Michigan

His fat ass will probably fall out of bed tomorrow and break his neck... :chuckles:

Way to go, RK....

I'm interested in Montavious Stanley from Louisville as a later pick at NT. For some reason ESPN loves showing Louisville games. He has no endurance but all the tools are there.

If he can't last against teams like Memphis how can he last against Pittsburgh..

I'll throw it away thanks..

Holy shit...I just got some info on him he is 6'6" 370 pounds..omfg..wow..

Yeah, 14 years in the league too.

He played every game last year, I'm not worried about his age he's a 2 year player and we will target a NT in the draft.

What's this? Cleveland Browns his #1 choice? Hells yea....

6'6 370... no runners will plow through that, next to Orpheus Roye.
