2 down, 8 to go...

The Browns signed the first two members of their 10-player draft class Friday when sixth-rounder Lawrence Vickers and seventh-rounder Justin Hamilton signed four-year deals.

Draft picks must sign with the team before they can participate in training camp later this month.

Full-squad training camp opens July 26.

The first of the team's two sixth-round picks, Vickers is a fullback by trade, though he played several different roles in his college career at Colorado and will have a chance to make the Browns' roster this fall and contribute as a special teamer and backup fullback.

Vickers (6-foot, 245) had 67 carries last season, scoring 9 rushing touchdowns, and also added 25 receptions and 2 more touchdowns. He finished his college career with 171 carries and 70 receptions.

Wimbley and Jackson need to be signed before camp to assure they can make an impact this year. Wimbley is learning a new position, missing training camp would basically crush his rookie season. He needs the reps more then any other player on defense.

Kamerion probably holds out for two months.

No, I am hearing that Wimbley is probably the closest 1st rounder ready to sign.

That'd be good, the thing that impresses me most about him is the team before himself attitude. A lot of guys would be like I don't need Willie Mac teaching me and etc...he seems like a really intelligent guy with more humility then some of our previous draft picks.

6 days..guys
