Hey guys. You know this was what was going to happen. You knew it. You knew the Browns weren't strong enough to stand up to the Steelers' defense and couldn't stop their run. That's it, final, they're better than us, ok.
Be happy with the nasty first drive. Ruthless Ruby, that guy is something. He got lots of praise, deservingly so. It takes 5 defenders to take this guy down. I like how he's developing into both a rushing and recieving back.
And Dilfer definitely pushed the ball up with those great passes to Bryant.
Dilfer messed up 1 play when he threw the pass to Braylon half a second too soon. That's a Dilfer-ism.
He was about to make up for it... 3rd down and 14, I believe, with a picture perfect pass to Dennis Northcutt. You know, the guy complaining that he should get more 3rd down plays called for him? What does he do? Drop it like a chump.
Fastforward to the next drive. 3rd down and 6, we need a TD. Pass it to Northcutt, he'll make up for it. He'll do it, he's wide open in the middle of the field. Oop, oh yea, it's Northcutt, he can't catch worth a damn.
Those two plays crushed any chance the Browns had. Next year, I want to see: Bryant #1, Edwards #2, and Frisman Jackson #3. Keep Northcutt solely to punt returns and random trick plays. Maybe if he's only designated for that they'll be no more blocks in the back.
Overall, our #1 problem was our rush defense. We sucked it against Duce. Then we tried to protect it, then Ward would be wide open because we panicked. We got completely slaughtered by their offensive coordinator. No wonder they're on top of the division.
Move along, people. Next week, we lose to the Dolphins by 2 TD's and a field goal and we'll score no TD's. Week after that, we lose to the Vikings, embarassed completely, and Dilfer limps out in the 4th, sending in CHARLIE FRYE. Starts for the rest of the season, compiling a 2-3 record.
