CHICAGO BULLS’ BENCH

CLEVELAND CAVALIERS' BENCH

CHICAGO BULLS’ NOTES

Chicago got into the paint well off penetration. They just need to finish their shots now. Part of what happened last game was guys missing shots they would normally make on any other night. If Cleveland improves their defense this time around, the Bulls will have to finish over AV and Z and that will test whether or not the Bulls can convert.

The Bulls ran some beautiful plays that caught Cleveland’s defense out of position. There’s one thing the Bulls could do and that is to scab-pick with Hinrich and Gordon. Run plays for the small guards over and over again. If it’s successful, even if Cleveland knows it’s coming, there’s little the Cavs can do.

CLEVELAND CAVALIERS' NOTES

Zydrunas needs to have a big game, forgetting how he struggled in the last match up. Adjustments need to be made the second time around because Chicago showed aggressive fronting in the post.

Cleveland took good care of the ball in their last encounter, having the same number of turnovers as the Bulls, while having 7 more assists. When playing a team that uses small ball, it’s vital to control the tempo, protect the ball and limit cheap points.

OVERVIEW

Cleveland broke the losing streak, possibly saving their postseason hopes in the process. The Bulls will be looking for revenge. This second game should prove every bit as intense as its predecessor.

Basically a win vs Chicago gives us a massive confidense boost in the fact we widen the gap between missing the making the playoffs by another game. With such a fragile roster at present, any win is a great win despite last nights near complete melt down.

Crash the boards, and defense at the perimeter is the keys vs the Bulls.

This game could be huge in a lot of ways as the Bulls are currently the 9th seed, so the biggest danger to knocking a team in the top 8 out of the playoffs. There really isn't that much separation between 4-8 so its going to be tight.

At the beginning of the last matchup, it looked like the Cavs were running a pretty decent offense, using Piston-like curls and off-screens to get Lebron the ball in the paint. There was movement by the players not holding the ball, running screens off each other and stuff, it was a beautiful sight. In the 2nd half with a huge lead, they reverted to watch Lebron and try to pass into the post. I'm not bashing trying to go down low, but when its the ONLY option in the offense, it becomes rather easy to defend

Its nice that the Cavs finally have some days off, several players on the team need to rest.

look at all teams' record on the 4th game in 5 nights. It isn't pretty. The way i see it is, if we can beat this team ON THE ROAD, under those circumstances, no matter how ugly it was, we gotta take this one at home... i think this team, more than anything, just needed a shot in the arm, and hopefully the chicago thriller will provide it. Cavs will break the 100 mark tomorrow and take the W.

uh oh national TV?!!! lol

nah Cavs breeze through in this one

another great game from my man Snow (he loves playing Chicago)

Whys the time in PT???

Cavs vs Bulls Predictions

Hi I am new here. I am thinking of doing a Prediction thread every game for the Cavs. Here is how it goes. Predict who the leading scorer will be, who will have the most assists, rebounds, and steals. Also predict the final score of the game.

Here are my predictions.

Points: LeBron=34p
Rebounds:Ilgauskas=12r
Assists:James=8a
Steals:Murray=4s

Final Score= Cavs= 100
Bulls- 89

Re: Cavs vs Bulls Predictions

Hope you guys wont mind doing this every week. Just thought it may be nice to show what we all think. Can't wait to start talking to you guys.

Re: Cavs vs Bulls Predictions

Welcome to RCF, LeBron23!

Id say for predictions on the games, do it in the Game Thread section of the site. I think all specific game related stuff should all be there, in one thread for one game. Keeps it simpler.

Go Cavs!

I always do both for PT and ET. The first time is in PT for any West Coast fans on the forum (or people close to that time zone so they can get an idea of when the game is) and second in East Coast time for the rest of the fans (the bulk majority). When I did game threads for fans on my home forum, we had fans from all over the place and I did that for their sake. Most of the fans here on in the East of the US but you never know. So I do it for them.

Wow, 2nd straight Bulls/Cavs matchup on national TV...
