I’m telling you Bates is going to shoot his way into a bench role sooner rather than later. We hav sone major gun slingers on this team who aren’t scared to let it fly.

zero evidence he can play well vs starters. We have only seen him in summer league and playing vs other young players trying to make the league Needs time to hone his overall game, learn how to play a team game and put on 10 pounds of muscle.
Certainly intriguing though and glad to have him

Even though it's preseason I don't like them getting down or giving up large leads like the Hawks game..want to see more fight out of them , not more fight from their opponent.

The confidence to pull up for a transition 3 was pretty eye opening to me. The kid has confidence coming into this year, hopefully it can turn into some solid shooting splits!

All the fouls and late calls yuck.

I really don't get how the #1 defense is so disrespected as compared to THE ORLANDO MAGIC. Like what have they done to get that kind of respect from the refs?

He ended up with 4 assists. He was playmaking out there and was really the only one to run the offense. Starters were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. 2nd and 3rd units have seemingly been playing more under control and within the offense.

Isaac was penetrating and dishing. He was too late on many of his passes last year, he is passing BEFORE the double gets to him and it is leading to wide open dunks for bigs. If he chooses to let Evan dunk instead of take it himself, that is fine by me.

He's a hybrid SF/PF that was had for cheap with size. I'd take my chances on a 6'7 guy with similar defensive rating as a 6'5 guy.

I mean you can play him at SF, but he can't defend the position. It's why both teams he played for moved him to PF. He bulked up after his rookie season and became too top heavy. He's a bit short at PF and this will be his last season on a rookie contract. There's a reason he could be had for cheap.
