Cade York Returns?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We probably would have put Myles in coverage on Wilson for the 2 point conversion just to really catch the Jets by surprise!

Disagree.

If York makes his kick and the Jets go for 2, their odds of converting (taking out emotion and hate for Joe Woods) is right around 50% whereas a PAT success rate is 92%+

York deserves some blame for failing to make a routine kick. He's another cog in the 5+ "failure to execute" that the Browns experiences in the last 2 minutes of yesterday's game.

They would have gone for two IMO.

The Jets defense had been grinded down into dust by the end of the game. I can't imagine they wanted to risk any weirdness in OT with a completely spent defense.

Probably felt like they had a better chance of converting from 2 yards out than getting a stop in OT.

Yes, I agree they would've gone for 2 and I agree with others that they probably get it.

But statistically, converting that 2 point conversion is only about 50%. For everything that has gone wrong to this point in the last 2 minutes, the defense still has one final chance to make a stand and win the game. But because York missed his PAT, the Jets instead only need to kick a PAT that has a 92%+ success rate.

I'm not putting the sole blame on York or even the majority, but he does deserve blame for not doing his job.

For me, in the grand scheme of things, it feels petty to even put any focus on that. Same with the Chubb TD and Kareem Hunt not managing to stay in bounds on his last run.

Yes, we want to teach and work on improvements but missing a PAT doesn't seem like it will be a normal occurrence with York. It'll happen every now and then but I think he'll be fine. The defensive breakdowns are not only problematic and catastrophic, but a ~pattern~ that have been happening since last year and almost/should've cost us week 1.

All his goodwill from week 1 dashed in week 2.

Made York is now Missed York.

He is gonna be a headcase now. Book that.

He should have spent every god damn day of training camp at the stadium. Kicking in berea means nothing.

I mentioned kicking in the stadium is completely different.

Considering it hasn't really even been windy at all, this is pretty irrelevant. His misses haven't been because he doesn't understand the weather in the stadium.

The weather at the stadium is always different than the practice field. Hell it wouldn’t have hurt

You do realize that York kicks like 10+ practice field goals between pregame warmups and halftime warmups on game days, right?

This is complaining about something that doesn't exist.

How about kicking them all week and not just the 10 pre game. There’s a reason all of our kickers have sucked. We should explore all options. Kicking at the stadium every day would be one of them
