It sounds like video game reviewers have finally realized that Infinity Ward has basically made the exact same game over and over for the past six years and are only now suddenly offended by it. I hate to break this to them, but I think the rest of us figured that out the day Modern Warfare 2 came out.

Depends what sites you visit for reviews I suppose. The average Call of Duty fan will probably give the game a positive review because the average Call of Duty fan only plays Call of Duty games (there have been articles confirming this to be fact). They're going to like it because they don't have much choice. They either play it and like it or keep playing an older Call of Duty game.

Metacritic currently has it as an aggregate of 75 for current gen consoles and 78 for the Playstation 4, both of which are mediocre scores. The scores run the gamut from 88 (IGN) to 80 (Official Xbox Magazine) to 65 (Polygon) to 50 (Destructoid).

Not exactly encouraging scores.

When I made the switch I played a lot of squad deathmatch. Close quarter stuff like cod but got me used to the game play and weapons on bf.

Have you even played Ghosts? Cause this isn't true at all. MW2 and MW3? Basically the same game with different maps and weapons, no argument there. However, as soon as I hopped on Ghosts I knew it was a different game. I guess you could say that Ghosts is much more like Black Ops than it is MW2 or 3.

Or if anything, battlefield. The maps are insanely big with so many different levels and turns. Going to take a long time to learn them.

They've changed a lot so I'm still unsure what to think. I've been having fun though. What it comes down to with any CoD game is that you have to go into it knowing that there are going to be a fuck load of campers, little kids, and people running around with shotguns. If you know these things are just going to piss you off and make you hate the game then I'm not sure why you would buy it in the first place...

One big complaint I do have: they took out Search and Destroy. I just wanna know why?? Why take out by far one of the most popularized game types in all generations of Call of Duty? Not sure what they were thinking there. I know a lot of fans are pissed about that so hopefully they decide to add it on.

I gave into temptation and got it for the 360. The game plays very fluid and I LOVE the maps. If you liked past CoDs, you'll like this.

I haven't played it, but I have read numerous reviews that made it a point that very little has changed from Modern Warfare 2 and 3.

It feels different from all previous games, but I'd mostly compare it to MW2 if I had to. Nothing like Blops.
