Cavalier's vs Nets Game 6 / Round 2

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I wonder whether we will be favourite going in the conference finals?

Two consistent teams!

I'd just like to point out that we played the fourth WITHOUT Larry Hughes.
And we struggled with that!

DAMON JONES JUST SAVED OUR SEASON...AGAIN!

Insert name Donyell Marshall.

Props to Damon though for playing smart ball.

I think it was DJ actually getting on the floor that fired the team up though...
if he wasn't out there I don't see 'yell knocking all those down.

damon jones daniel gibson backcourt worked. they were moving and going to open space.

Yaaaaaaaay! Hit some outside shots and it all comes together. Donyell and Gibson huge! Allowed Lebron to do his thing. DJ playing like a veteran. The King lives on! It is all about Lebron....always.

Happy Birthday Donyell!

LeBron and the Cavs able to overcome the Brown's offensive incompetence and pull out the win.

It's amazing how things can be easier offensively when you have shooters on the floor. Even if they all aren't hitting they at least spread and help space the floor.
Hopefully the difference between Snow and Hughes on the floor in the 3rd and both off the floor in the 4th was a wake up call to the coaching staff. Brown played right into Frank's hand in the 3rd by playing a poor shooting backcourt against a zone defense.

A Damon Jones sighting might be a good thing as the Cavs move on. There are times when you need a veteran shooter out there.

This better be the start of Gibson getting quality consistent minutes every game.

Defense solid most of the night. Z stepped up pretty big defensively but once again ignored in the offense. Would have seemed to make sense to pound it into Z when Moore was guarding him. Oh well.

Very nice to come back and get the win. Cavs are going to have to raise the level of their play quite bit against Detroit. This is a much different level than going against the Wizards and Nets.

Gibson makes me hopeful for the future as a Cavs fan:)

Let me just say that this 15 years has been a long and dreadful wait. It sure is nice to be back in the conference finals. And this time we're the team with the superstar. Time to write some new sports history in Cleveland.

*special thanks to Jim Paxson for making this all possible by driving this team into the ground for 17 wins in 2002-03

I love the duo of Brown and Tirico for the commentating... I think both are among the best, not because of their non-Cav hating attitude but because of knowledge of the game and chemistry...

It's a joy compared to a Bill Walton who tries to be sophisticated and use big words and stentorian voice...:chuckles: (I love when Jon Barry is commentating with him and makes fun of him because of the words he uses...it doesn't get better than that.)

Agreed..

The worst though is this Mike Breen bastard... This bible thumper just goes on and on about good sportsmanship and explains what a travel and double dribble is every time one occurs...

I think the ultimate broadcasting team would be Hubie Brown, Marv Albert and Steve Kerr. None of them are annoying, they're objective. They show enthusiasm, yet are not homers like Paul Thompson or Bill Walton.

Hubie Brown is tops in all of the league, he's as good as it gets. I don't know what I'll do when that man stops calling basketball games. Listen to him and tell me he's not the best..I dare you.

Marv Albert simply for the "YES" He doesn't have to say anything at all, but when a big bucket goes down Hubie and Steve will pause for the "YES" and continue their analysis.

Steve Kerr it's always nice to have a former player who has played with/against and for a lot of the players and coaches out there. The guy has rings he knows what the hell he is talking about. He doesn't sound insulting when he critiques either. Some announcers (Paul Thompson, Jon Barry) come across as insulting...and I haven't quite found the way to punch someone through the TV yet.

Why do you always call John Thompson Paul Thompson?
